I woke up crying, holding my throat and screaming bloody murder. Definitely not the best way to wake up in the morning.

Yes, the guy in my dream was the one that I have been trying to keep out of my mind these past few days. We definitely don’t have the nicest of pasts together. But to be honest, I really don’t want to think about that right now.

“Mia! Hurry up or you’ll be late for school! Don’t forget to take the pill!” my dad shouted from downstairs. It’s nice to know that he won’t be sleeping this whole day. Maybe I should try and ask him what his job is when I get downstairs.

I dressed in my usual, jeans and tee, before heading into the bathroom.

No make-up. Be proud of who you are.

My mother’s voice filled my head as I brushed my hair and teeth. I went down the hallway and tried to make it down the stairs as safely as I could.

Failed at that and ended up falling down the stairs like very other day of my life.(A/N Actually happens to me)

“Mia,, did you fall down the stairs again?” my father asked, sighing.

“Maybe…”

“What am I going to do with you?”

“You could tell me what you do at work?” I asked suggestively.

He nearly spit out his coffee when he heard me say that.

“Now why would you want to know that?”

“Because you’re always sleeping when I get home, or not home at all! I’m starting to get really worried about you!”

“Oh, look at the time!” he started, looking at his watch,.

“Dad, come on! Do yo-“

He cut me off. “You’re going to be late to school if you don’t hurry up!”

He then pushed me out the door and onto the from lawn.

Today I decided to walk to school, to try and get more of a feel for the area. The other day I had been a little too distracted to pay attention to where I was actually going.

“Mia!” I heard someone call from behind me. Mitch was running up behind me.

“Hey Mitch, what’s up?”

“Well, I saw that you were walking to school so I thought that I would walk with you. You don’t fully know the way, do you?”

“No I don’t. Thanks.”

As we walked, we chatted a little bit. Just about stupid, pointless things. I tried my best to pay attention to what he was saying but it was really hard. The memory of last night’s dream kept barging in. the fact the Mitch sort of resembles him really wasn’t helping anything.

Thankfully, we made it to school on time.

Oh crap, I just remembered that Andrew is in my homeroom. Maybe I should skip today? No, bad idea. Skipping school in your first week is a VERY bad idea.

I walked to homeroom as slow as I could. Trying to take my time in getting there.

“come on Mia! We’re going to be late!” Claire said as she grabbed my hand and made me run with her to the classroom.

She then pushed me down into my seat and left me there to wait for Andrew. Where is my luck today? Taking a vacation?!

Put I still have to try. I promised mother that I would try my best to become closer with him and keep an eye on him to look out for anything suspicious.

“Hi Mia.” He said as he sat down beside me. “How are you today?”

Ok, I’m going to try and tell the truth throughout this whole conversation…

“Actually, I’m don’t think that luck is on my side today. This have just been going in the opposite direction that I want them to.”

“oh, sorry.”

“Nah, it’s fine. So what about you?”

“Same old, same old. Stuff that I’m not exactly supposed to talk about with huma-…I mean other people.”

That was weird… Wasn’t he just about to say ‘humans’ then? Does that mean that he isn’t human? Is he a Polaroid!?

No Mia! That is highly impossible. You are letting your imagination get the better of you.

“oh well, I hope it gets better soon!”

And with that, class started and we didn’t talk for the rest of the day.

I walked home that day, listening to my IPOD.

It looks like I made some process today.  I thought to myself. He actually talked to me and didn’t say any lies. Well, none that I picked up anyway.
