This imagine is long over due. I would just like to thank the American Soldiers who fight for our country each and every day. I know I spend almost everyday wishing I lived in Ireland, Britain, or Australia, but I would just like to say a big thank you to all the soldiers whether you're retired or fighting for our country at this moment. And a huge thank you to all the veterans who lost their lives.
I appreciate all of you and am very greatful. I hope all our hero's get home safe.
Enjoy...

P.s Niall is an American Soldier who comes home to meet his daughter for the first time. I know he's not American but this is an imagine, and I would like to pay tribute to the men and women defending the country I'm growing up in.

"This is nerve wracking," I mumble as I cradle my three month old daughter Peyton in my arms. I face towards Maura as she stands taking pictures.
"I'm just worried he's going to drop Peyton is all. He's been around very few babies growing up."
I glance at Maura and laugh. "I doubt he'll drop her. If he can walk around with a gun, I'm sure he can walk around with his daughter," I look down at Peyton. "Are you ready to meet your daddy?" I whisper.
She hooks her small hand onto my thumb and opens her eyes, showing off her resemblance to Niall. Soon the sound of a bus is heard echoing off walls and all the families of the soldiers gather around the large garage door.
Someone gasps and I look up to see the soldiers unloading from the bus. I walk closer and try to get a better view.
My vision starts to blur as I see the familiar face of my husband, which I haven't seen in five months.
He walk's over, a large smile on his face and puts his bag on the ground. I move Peyton into his arms carefully, and watch his expression, which showed that he was scared yet so very happy. Slowly he lifts her up to his face and places multiple small kisses to her head. "Niall," He looks up. "Hi." I whisper.
"Hi," He smiles. "She's so beautiful," He mumbles and I smile.
"She look's just like you, kinda scary at times." I laugh.
"I'll see you in a few months Horan," A man says walking up and patting him on the shoulder. "And congrats, man. She's beautiful." Niall nods. "Ma'am." He nods his head at me and I give him a small smile. I watch as he walks towards the back of the crowd and a woman running up and giving him a hug.
"I missed you both so much," He mumbles and for the first time in 5 months I lean forward and give him a long kiss.
I break away and cradle his face in my hands. "Let's go home."
