"Can I take it this off now?" I ask. I can feel him untying the cloth. I blink repeatedly before my eyes adjust. "I thought you said we were only going out for hot chocolate!" I gasp, admiring the sight in front of me.

"I thought maybe we could ice skate first; is that alright with you?" He ask. I nod 'yes' repeatedly. He grins before taking my hand and guiding me to the rentals shop.

"What sizes?" The guy behind the counter asks.

"I'm a size 10 and she's a size.." (A/n American shoe sizes)

"I'm a size 6." I say. Niall looks at my feet and then nods to the man. Once we get our skates I quickly sit down and take off my boot, replacing them with my ice skates. "Do you know how to ice skate?" I ask.

"Not really.. I was hoping you'd teach me." I smile myself and nod.

"Of course I'll teach you." I smile. Once we have our skates on he head to the ice. I skate onto the smooth ice and turn around, seeing Niall clutching the side railing for dear life. "Do you need help?" I ask offering my hand. He gladly takes it.

I slowly pull him away from the wall. "I'm ice skating!" He yells excitedly. I laugh at his giddiness stop where I'm at. "Thank you Niall." I say.

"For what?" He asks.

"This." I say letting go of him and motioning to the rink. He stiffens at the lack of contact and just stands there.

"Can you?" He asks. It takes me a minute but I realize that he's asking for my hands again. I gladly grab ahold and slowly start to move again.

"Your welcome." He mumbles. I smile and continue skating backwards. "Where did you learn to ice skate?" He asks. I look up and shrug.

"My dad taught me."

"If I hit a soft spot I'm sorry.. I won't ask any more questions." He says sweetly. I grin and pull him to the side.

"Can we get some hot chocolate? You seem worn out." I say. He eagerly shakes his head and we make our way off the ice. Once off I turn around and don't see Niall anywhere. "Niall?"

"Down here." A voice says. I look down and see Niall laying flat on his back, holding his head with his hands.

"Are you ok?" I ask worried. He nods slowly sitting up.

"You let go." He says. I grab his arm and help him up.

"I'm so sorry."

"It's fine." He says shrugging it off.
