After returning from their trip, Danbi threw herself into work. With the end of the year coming closer and Chuseok coming up, there was a lot scheduled. She worked in front of and behind the camera daily.

September flew by and suddenly it was October.

With packed schedules, it was hard to find time for anything other than work but Danbi made up by sending the birthday boys each a small cake and a present to their work.

They called her back to thank her.

Chan was the only one she still barely talked to.
A few weeks after the meeting rumours circulated on various social media platforms that Chan was seeing someone who wasn't an Idol.

Names were thrown around. It caused her anxiety to spike and almost daily tears to spill. Minho stayed with her turning that time.

Fans were quick to decide after her name appeared more and more that she would know better than to get involved with an Idol.

It caused her to feel guilty because it was far from the truth.

Yet still, a small cake waited for him at the dorm with a small present wrapped in black satin paper when the Idol arrived after eating out with friends and his members.

The cake was black with a white lettering. It was big enough for two servings, just like the ones of his members had been.

Before opening the gift, he took a picture and sent it to her to thank her and decided to post it on bubble as well to show STAY how thoughtful his friends were.

Inside the box lay a pair of silver hoops. Delicate artwork was grafted into the metal replicating the designs seen on Hanoks.

Chan took another photo before changing the jewellery he currently wore.

Danbi smiled when she received the pictures, even one of him wearing her gift. There weren't any negative feelings left for her. She knew that Chan didn't mean to hurt her in any way with his words.

And if she was honest with herself, she missed spending time with the Idol. Even if it meant that he was working on files and she sat on the couch behind him editing content.

October went by as quickly as the previous months. The leaves outside turned into various shades of orange before they started to fall. The wind got colder with each passing day. It was her favourite time of year.

Danbi sent Minho a cake and a present two days before her birthday. She hoped she would see the Idols soon again.

Still, she decided to spend her birthday just with her brother and go out for dinner.

"Why do I need to dress up, Min?"

Danbi walked out of her room at her brother's apartment. Minho had bought her as one of her many presents a new dress to wear with a new pair of heels. It was rather simple with its white colour and flowy off-the-shoulder design. She had hair curled and wore half of it up. A satin ribbon was wrapped around it.

"Because," Minho walked up to her with a smile. He wore a pair of black slacks and a black turtleneck. Two coats were draped across his arm. "It's the first birthday we can celebrate in person together."

He pressed a kiss to the crown of her head before helping her into her coat.

"Ready?" Minho held out his arm for her to grab. She smiled and nodded.

The siblings made their way down to the car park. Minho opened the door of his car for her, causing her to chuckle.

"Did I tell you that you raised the standards for any man ten times?" she told him while shaking her head.

"Good, then I know you will never settle for less and get treated the way you deserve it." He responded after closing her door and walking around the car.

In his eyes, Danbi grew each day more and more into the beautiful woman their parents had wished for. He was proud of her and only wanted the best for her. She deserved the world to be laid out in front of her.

"I love you," Danbi smiled at him and squeezed his hand.

"And I love you even more, Bi."
