To the moon, and back,
Remember-
Those youthful years-
To my immaturity and
Your matured fears?
You'd hate me hide on
The outlets of the tallest trees:
So that I'm not taken away-
By the wildest of the free breeze.
And one day they took me away:
So far, beyond your reveries and nightmares;
Amidst the stars- yet infinite miles apart.
The flawed moon with overflowing beauty:
Star-studded, and being so fiddly.
Yet I persistently tumbled
Over her wanton hues.
And, a maturity in love infused
The fears, the reasonless blues-
Of losing, but still loving. Relentlessly:
Just the way, your incessant tears were.
I wept to be her poor lover-
Loving. And still loving- however unnoticed- forever.
T'was when I wanted to soothe your pains:
T'was then we met again,
On the night that rained.
I reappeared to you.
I reappeared only for you:
Even if I had to go back someday
To the moon's wanton premises.
I'll be watching you, smiling-
With our self-woven promises.
Cause I've realized, what loving feels like:
Having no claim on your soul's soul-
Doesn't matter if our hands aren't entwined:
I'll watch your ageless smile and you getting old.
