You are the moon,
And I'd love to be a SELENOPHILE- so much in your affection;
I'd watch you from my little window: blazing with a pacifying glaze;
I'd watch you appease my soul: on my loneliest nights, on my wiped out days.
I didn't wish the stars to have it all:
Or the tiniest clouds that kiss you and recklessly crawl away:
Leaving you so vague to believe in love for a second chance.
The nightfall hits me hard: just when the dawn creeps into with light, you know-
The hours of my staring into your insights should be so steady and slow.
I've seen those lovers writing poetic rhythms on your face,
I stand behind unemployed, getting seduced by the moon's swooning grace.
I could have interpreted your portraits on a canvas-
Just how vibrant you've been in Van Gogh's eyes;
Maybe, he was your unloved lover anyways:
To make your shape stand out in the most starlit skies.
So, what if he never had you: neither I'll ever do-
Your unloved lover would seamlessly cherish the every smiling crescent of you.
