CHAPTER 7: LET SLEEPING ZORDS LIE

When all of us started to dig for some fossils, I noticed Shelby under the shade, looking at some sketches of some dinosaurs. "How about lending a hand?" I called out. Shelby got up from the table and walked up to us. "Follow me for a sec. Keeper gave Fourteen Energems to Fourteen different dinosaurs" Shelby said. "Of course, wait, I, uh, what?" Koda said, really confused. "We managed to find Seven Energems but Seven are still lost. Those Energems will only be found near the fossils of the..." Shelby started to say.

"Pterodactyl, Ankylosaurus, Futabasaurus, Styracosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Plesiosaurus and Titanosaurus."

"We shouldn't dig here just because we found some bones here before" Shelby said. "Ok, where should we dig then?" Tyler asked. "I don't know, exactly" Shelby said. Some of us were laughing a little. Shelby turned back to have a look at the map again. "But I've an idea so come and check this out. If we combine the known areas where the remaining dinosaurs lived with the energy signatures from each of the Dinosaurs' Energems. Then we can pinpoint more accurately know where to look" Shelby said. 

All of us went over to her. "Energy signature? What is Shelby say?" Koda asked. "She doesn't want to get dirty" Chase said. "Nooo. What I am trying to say is that we need to work smarter, not harder" Shelby said. "Yeah, actually she might be right about that energy signature but how would you track it?" Riley asked.

"Hey" Tyler said. "You finished all our drinks" I said. "What? It's getting hot out here" Shelby said. "Yeah, we noticed" Keigo said. "Shelby drink like camel" Koda said. "Shouldn't we at least my theory?" Shelby said. All of us fell silent. "Fine then, I don't need anything from you guys anyway" Shelby said. She was about to leave but she came back. "Um, I need your keys" Shelby said. Tyler handed her his keys. "And this" she said as she took the drink.

"I'm going to get get another drink, do you guys want another one?" I asked. "Yeah, we could have another drink, could you possibly get five sodas with some ice" Tyler said. "Yeah, I can get all of us some sodas with ice" I said as Keigo pecked my cheek as I headed back to the museum to get all of us some more drinks.

I came back into the base when I put my Energem into the gap in the wall. "You're back early. Is everything ok? What happened?" Kendall said. "Well actually...something did happen" I said.

"I just came up with the idea on how to find the other Energems" I said as I smiled a little. "Oh, really? I think that you underestimate how difficult it is to find an Energem" Kendall said. "And I think that you underestimate me. Ever since I first got here, I've been waiting tables, moping floors and being a pretty good Pink Ranger if I do say so myself" I said. 

"But I have a lot of ideas going up in here. The only problem is no one will listen" I said. "Ok Shelby, I'm listening" Kendall said when she looked at me. "Uh, well...we can find known facts about the Seven remaining dinosaurs. Climate, known breeding grounds, food sources, stuff I know. With a global scan of the energy signatures for each of those Dinosaurs' Energems" I said.

"That stuff, I thought you could help me figure out" I said. "Global scan of energy signatures? Highly doubtful, unless, of course, we, yes, hmm...that would require DNA samples and the processing power that required would limit us to just one dinosaur at a time. Are you gonna watch or help?" Kendall said.

I went over to the Dinosaur DNA section. "Hmm, let's start with the Ankylosaurus. That's bonded to the Aqua Energem" I said. "Very well, Ankylosaurus it is" Kendall said. "We'll extract the DNA sample from the Ankylosaurus fossil" I said. "And blend that DNA with the energy signatures from your Seven Dino Chargers to create our first Ankylo Charger" Kendall said. "We will build a machine to search for energy signatures that match the new Ankylo Charger" I said.
