================================================================================

It was a quiet evening in Morioh. The sun was beginning to set behind the mountains to the West, pulling with it a trail of reddish-blue hues, retreating from the darkness that slowly heralded the arrival of night.

Most residents of this town were now travelling to and fro, wrapping up their daily responsibilities and, soon after that, making their way to their homes or one of a myriad different social places to unwind.

One person already making that latter journey was one Kiyo Matsuda. She was dressed in her casual clothes, tugging her bike alongside herself as she travelled a narrow path dug out around the winding cliffsides of the Wall Eyes Valley. It was at times a narrow and haphazard one, still decorated on occasion with the remnants of the old ocean walk that winded along here before the earthquake last year.

Her day had been a long and tiring one. It began with her usual shift hours, taking up most of the day with foot patrols, classes at the station headquarters, and the occasional tag-along with one of her superiors when they were called out for some benign matter or another. Things she enjoyed doing - especially in comparison to kicking around a koban in the darkest hours of the night - but which can be exhausting in their own right if packed in tight with little to no breaks. As it happened, today was one of those days.

Then came her training. Once again they met in an undisturbed part of the valley, with Josuke's guest of honor being one Koichi Hirose. She'd vaguely heard of the man before, and knew enough from Josuke that he was an old friend of his, and a stand user to boot. However, the disparity in skill between Kiyo and Koichi as stand users quickly became apparent.

She found this out the hard way, of course.

Her challenge, as set by Josuke, was to 'tag' Koichi either by hand or through the use of her stand. In the meantime, Koichi would be using [Echoes] in order to protect himself. Sounds simple enough, she thought.

With the benefit of hindsight though, it was clear that this was a match very heavily slanted in her opponents favour - no matter how many deceitful words of encouragement Josuke espoused. Echoes' multiple ACTs were incredibly frustrating for her to get used to - ACT 1 frequently threw off her focus and disorientated her stand's chase, ACT 2 created all sorts of physical obstacles for the both of them, and ACT 3 could stop either of them dead in their tracks, and leave the other practically immobile, and ever so slightly crushed under the massive gravity of ACT 3's 'Three Freeze'.

In spite of all that, thought, and after many, many gruelling attempts... Kiyo eventually prevailed.

Her plan began thus; She left a means of summoning her stand on top of a cliff overlooking a small valley, and thereafter she slid back down to the bottom. She then proceeded to taunt Koichi and Echoes ACT 3 from just outside of the enemy stand's range. Koichi, who was in all likelihood just playing along with Kiyo's cajoling as if he didn't know any better, proceeded to close the gap to within 5 meters. Kiyo responded just before 'Three Freeze' could take effect by summoning her stand and sending it charging towards Koichi.
