[SIDE] The Life Fiber - Stand Chapter (Chapter after-16-but-not-quite-23)

As a part of trying to make this story as seamless as possible for both of the source universes, Life Fibers and Stands are linked. This was briefly covered in chapter 16 via Mikisugi's (extended) explanation, but that only really covered some barebones stuff relevant to the main story itself.

Note that this chapter is basically entirely moot in terms of the story - its more so for anyone who just wants a bit more detail into what Mikisugi was babbling on about in C.16. If you already feel you understand how this story connects Life Fibers to stands, or simply aren't too keen on reading my deranged ramblings and the 'interesting' (that is to say, bizarre and on occasion incoherent) mix of JoJo and KLK's storytelling which I have fabricated, then skip on ahead to the next chapter.

If you do want to read that, then by all means, continue forth.

By the way, if this happens to contradict something mentioned earlier in the story, that's... definitely, 100% the characters of the story not knowing the full picture, and not me forgetting to organize this concept earlier and basically letting it drift around before I properly standardized it in this chapter.  My writing skills and memory are utterly unclouded. (/s)

Also, spoilers for both canons, but if you're still reading this you probably have read/watched KLK and JJBA to some degree, or at least don't mind the spoilers.

Without further ado, onto my contrived & complex monologuing!

1. Origins

As per Mikisugi's explanation, the Primordial Life Fiber arrived tens of thousands of years ago on Earth, and from there began its process of accelerating human evolution, until it went dormant at some point. This same Life Fiber is later the one revered by Ragyo Kiryuin, and the one which she cultivates and serves in hopes of fulfilling the will of the Life Fibers.

This Primordial Life Fiber is not the only one of its kind, however - there is another , though much smaller, grouping of Life Fibers on Planet Earth, which landed in the isolated environment of Cape York in Greenland. These two were one and the same before entering the Earth's atmosphere, at which point they broke off, like any other asteroid being disintegrated upon entry into the atmosphere. Unlike the Primordial Life Fiber, which actively began the normal processes of cultivating suitable hosts, this other bunch instead went into hibernation, due to a lack of said hosts. 

This is because, while it remained 'alive', it was 'injured' to a degree that it was no longer viable, and the inhospitable region the 'Secondary Life Fiber' landed in had little to no suitable hosts. This is in stark contrast to the Primordial Life Fiber, which presumably landed somewhere in the Horn of Africa or thereabouts, right next door to the ancestors of modern Humans.

As a result, this 'degenerate' grouping of Life Fibers went dormant much earlier than its kin, hardening and compressing in the harsh cold climate until it resembled a material closer to Bakuzan or the Scissor Blades, becoming indistinguishable to any other metallic meteorite.

From this, the material could be forged into any desired shape, much like a fabric being cut. This is the origin of the 'Stand Arrows', artefacts which possess the ability to seek out and grant those worthy with the power of the Gods.
