Time was around 4 in the evening and the college was almost empty by now.
But Aishwarya, Vikram and a few more club members stayed back to finish a few things.
Vikram's friends and Aishu's friends left since they had to get ready for their night out.
Vikram sat on his bike and watched the girl in front of him discuss the upcoming event in their club.
Aishwarya was dressed up in a simple blue cotton tee-kurta and jeans and Vikram was dressed in a denim jacket and white tee and jeans.
It was weird that Vikram sat idly and just stared at the people working cause it was so unlike Vikram.
The former members of the club noticed it but yeah! They know what happened to their other classmate who tried to disturb him by looking at Aishu and ended up writing the entire month's report on a single weekend.
"Heyy dumbo! You did not stay back to stare at the sky! Get up and sort this out" Aishwarya yelled and Vikram jumped down the bike and walked towards her.
"We'll leave now!" Said the other members
"Why?" Aishu asked
"We need to catch the last bus at least! " They said and it seemed convincing to her hence she nodded, failing to notice the boy next to her giving out death glares at them
Vikram sat next to her on the stone bench in the garden area, his shoulders touching hers and her fruity shampoo smell messing his mind.
"Listen! Since we need to reach the park by 10 in the morning! I guess we need to arrange a bus or some transport for the members!" Aishwarya said seriously going through the bunch of papers in her hand.
"Hmm!" Vikram hummed, his hands on his cheeks and watching her.
Hearing the not-so-appreciated reply hmm as a reply Aishwarya turned around and looked what Vikram was doing.
Aishwarya smiled shaking her head and continued doing her work.
"You stayed back to fulfil your club head duties so as not to stare at me!" She said still focused on the papers
"I wish to do both!" He mumbled rubbing his nape took a deep breath continued to help her with papers and stared at her too.
Vikram smiled and lifted that one strand that disturbed his view and tucked it behind her ears but failed as the strand yet again fell on her face.
"Why do u always keep doing something with my hair?" She asked giggling pushing her hair behind.
"Idk! You have beautiful hair! like that Disney princess Ariel!" He said
"Ariel? I thought you would say Rapunzel!"
"Rapunzel does have long hair but yours looks a lot like Ariel not red but idk!" Vikram said and shrugged and Aishwarya smiled looking at him
"You know what?" She asked keeping the papers away and he raised his eyebrows
"5 years ago! I was having just shoulder-level hairs" Aishwarya said
"Don't lie!"
"Why would I? My aunt was jealous, so jealous of me that I had long hair! My mother had long hair and so did I! My aunt hates my mother and when I did something back in 7th grade I guess she chopped my hair out!" Aishwarya said, a small smile on her lips
Vikram looked at her for the first time in her eyes, her lips smiling but he could see the tiny Aishwarya running away from her aunt. Her lips smiled but her eyes held stories that he wished he knew better.
"I did not mind getting my hair chopped back then! After all, it was just hair but I did not understand why my aunt was treating Harini well and not me! that was the day I realised, I knew how much I missed my mother, how important it was for me to live with my mother!"Aishwarya said Releasing a deep breath, a part of her felt free knowing she finally had caught the guts to talk about the silent war she faced.
Vikram was stunned to speak, the urge to save her for this world and just keep her hidden in his arms was high.
At the same to urge to take the shape rest knife and hit her aunt was also high
"Ahh! The reason u had to listen to this Cinderella story is I feel good when u compliment my hair so yep!" Aishwarya said in her bubbly voice and Vikram watched how the vulnerable Vishnu disappeared and the bubbly one showed up.
"Also are you joining your other friends tonight with us right?" She asked and Vikram nodded
"Of course! Aravind would kill me if I didn't join him" he said and Aishu nodded and started packing her things Vikram was helping her pack when someone showed a pamphlet in front of them
Lifting their heads, Vikram gritted his teeth and Aishwarya sighed looking at Madan
"What are you doing here at this time?" Aishwarya asked
Madan and Aishwarya happened to meet a quiet coincidence a few times hence they were kinda friends now.
"Election stuff Aishu! You won't understand!" Madan said and Aishu shrugged
"Whatever! "
"Hey but why are u staying back?" Madan asked looking at Aishu and Vikram
"To paint the entire building" Vikram said Sarcastically
"Ahh, finally something useful rather than being useless! Great job mister Vikram" Madan said and Vikram gritted his teeth yet again
"Ahh ahh stop stop! Please don't start again! Madan you pls leave" Aishu said and Madan handed her the pamphlet and left the place.
Vikram took the pamphlet in his hand and tore it into pieces
"Listen I have an idea!" Aishwarya said and Vikram looked at her
"And that is?"
"Why don't you participate in the college election?" Aishwarya asked and Vikram felt a thousand thunders on his head and the entire water in his body coming out as swear
"What?"
