Your POV
The birth was shorter than expected as I was rushed into the maternity ward. Just as I was getting hooked up with IVs, the baby was ready to come out. "Hold on, Mrs. McDuck! The baby is almost ready to come out." The doctors were trying to reassure me that everything was fine. I braced myself as I waited for the okay to push. "Alright, Mrs. McDuck, push!" I strained as I pushed as hard as I could. "Almost there! I can see the head!" I smiled as I pushed hard once more. "You are doing great, Mrs. McDuck! One more push!" I nodded as I pushed as hard as I could one more time. The room was filled with little baby cries.

I calmed down as the doctors took the baby to get cleaned and measured. "Congratulations, Mrs. McDuck, you have a baby girl!" I held out my hands to hold my baby. She was crying softly while I adjusted the blanket. "Hi my sweetheart. Oh my goodness you are so beautiful!" Mrs. Beakley came inside after the doctors let her know that I was ready to see her and my children. "Sheamus, Eleanor, meet your new baby sister," I said as they both came in. They were both in awe as they both looked at her starting to sleep soundly in my arms.

Just as we settled down, Scrooge came in right away. "Lass?!" I smiled as he came into the room with worry. "Honey, she is alright." Scrooge came in with a huge smile on his face. "Oh lass, she is beautiful." I smiled as he kissed the top of her head gently. "Dad!", Eleanor and Sheamus said quietly. Scrooge picked them both up and held them close to his chest. "Oh my lovelies. I missed ye both so much." I smiled at my lovely family and heard Huey, Louie, and Dewey come in with Webby. "Oh boys, I want to thank you for all your help," I said as they came in quietly.

"Ah, it was no problem", Dewey said. "We had a great time helping Uncle Scrooge," Louie said. "Just as long as those evil criminals are back in jail," Huey said with slight worry. I looked down at my baby girl as she held my finger gently. "Scrooge, what should we name her?" Scrooge thought about it and said "Merida." I smiled brightly as I looked down at her. "That is a lovely name." I started to yawn as Scrooge took that as a sign to hold his newborn. "Ah lass, we'll let you rest." He took Merida gently while she settled in his arms. Mrs. Beakley told me that she will take the children back to the mansion.

I kissed and hugged Sheamus and Eleanor before they took off to go back to the house. Scrooge was humming a lullaby which helped Merida sleep soundly while I was starting to rest from a busy, yet dangerous day. We stayed at the hospital for a couple days to make sure everything was alright and no signs of anything wrong with Merida or myself. Once we left, I let Scrooge know about who will take us back to the mansion. "Honey, I love Launchpad, but he can be a tad distracted while driving and I know his ribs are still broken." Scrooge nodded as he phoned Mrs. Beakley while Launchpad watched the kids.

Mrs. Beakley arrived and we smiled as Merida was sound asleep in her car seat. We got back to the mansion and I was surprised to see the kids playing outside in the backyard. I held Merida as I got her out of the car seat and settled down on the couch to feed her. Della and Donald came in with Donald covered in oil. "Darn tugboat," he grumbled. I tried not to laugh as Merida was feeding and Della came right beside me. "Oh my goodness! Is this Merida?" I nodded as she stared at her with a loving smile. Donald came back as he washed himself off from the oil. "Wow she is beautiful." I finished feeding Merida and held her gently as she slept.

Scrooge came into the living room with a huge smile as he sat beside me. "Ello' lass." I looked at him questionably. "What did you do?" Scrooge stroked my shoulder as he said "it's a surprise whenever you are ready to see what I have done with our bedroom." I got up slowly with Merida in my arms and we made it to the bedroom. The bedroom was decorated with a nursery.

"Oh my! Scrooge, it's so beautiful!" Scrooge chuckled as he stroked my shoulders

"Oh my! Scrooge, it's so beautiful!" Scrooge chuckled as he stroked my shoulders. "I was looking through my old storage and my parents wanted me to keep my old nursery set. So I redid them with some help of course." I looked over and saw Sheamus and Eleanor with a big smile on their faces. "I love you both so much!" I kissed them gently as they both giggled. The evening came rather quickly that usual and I was just putting Eleanor and Sheamus to bed.

I walked into mine and Scrooge's bedroom to see him hold Merida before she was getting sleepy and ready for bed. I went to the bathroom to get a quick shower and got into my nightdress. I went out to see Scrooge kissing Merida goodnight in her crib. "Sleep well, lassie." I smiled as I kissed her goodnight as well. "Sleep soundly my darling." We got ready for bed and cuddled next to each other as Scrooge held me close to him. "I love you, lass." I kissed him gently before I laid my head down to rest for the night on his chest. "I love you too, Scrooge."
