Scrooge's POV
I woke up to the phone ringing in my pocket. I rushed out of the bedroom to not wake up (Y/N). "Scrooge McDuck here. What?! You blasted vultures are going to be reducing my money wages?!" I tried to quiet myself down, but my blood was boiling fast. "Okay alright. I will be down there in about ten minutes. Alright! Bye!" I hung up and tried not to throw my phone to the wall. I sighed as I walked back into the bedroom. "So much for a sleeping in with my lass."

I brushed away a strand of hair from her cheek before kissing her gently. I went to my wardrobe and got out my clothes and went to the door, looking back at her. "Scrooge?"

Your POV
I thought I heard Scrooge yelling at somebody on his phone. Must be his associates demanding whatever they want to see him about his money. I smiled as he kissed my cheek, but faltered as he didn't come back to bed. "Scrooge?" I saw him open the door. "Lass, I'm sorry if I woke you up" I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "You didn't," I lied of course to calm him down.

"I've been called to the office. Blasted men," he growled. I was about to get up before Scrooge went beside me. "Honey, you need to rest for the baby." I sighed as he rubbed my belly. "I'm about to give your workers a piece of my mind." He smiled at me. "Oh dont you worry lass, I will take care of them myself. Now get some rest. Ill be back as soon as I can." I frowned as he left the room and I laid back down to try and go to sleep.

5 days later
"Scrooge?" I wondered where he was as I went down the stairs. Mrs. Beakley was getting breakfast ready for Sheamus, Eleanor and the rest of the kids before they head out on the first day of school. "Ah, Mrs. McDuck. I wanted to let you know that Mr. McDuck is away at the office." I sighed sadly as I settled down at the table. I know Scrooge is very busy, but he is going to miss our childrens first day of kindergarten?

Sheamus and Eleanor came down to eat their pancakes and waffles with chocolate milk. "Mama, where's daddy?", Eleanor asked. I stroked her hair and said," he's very busy at the office." Eleanor nodded in understanding, but I can tell she was disappointed. The bus arrived twenty minutes later and I kissed the kids goodbye. "Dont forget to make some friends and get along with the teachers." Sheamus and Eleanor said their goodbyes along with Huey, Louie, Dewey, and Webby.

The bus drove off while I sniffled at the sight. "Mrs. McDuck, Im sure they will be fine." "Its not only that. Scrooge isn't here to see this." Mrs. Beakley sighed as we walked back inside the mansion. "Well, he is a busy man. Maybe you can make something nice for him when he gets back." I smiled as I remembered he loved the smell and taste of fresh baked cookies.
I got out all the ingredients to make chocolate chip cookies and started to work quickly on them. I got them in the oven and settled down on the table.

"Hey there, (Y/N). What smells so good?," Della came in with oil on her outfit. "Hi Della. What happened to you?" She giggled and said, "Donalds boat. Always something wrong with it. Are you alright?" I nodded as I rubbed my tummy. "Scrooge is just been very busy lately and he missed the kids first day of school."

Della frowned as she sat beside me. "I know he can be stubborn and a bit of a workaholic. Okay, a huge workaholic. But, he only does this to keep food on the table. Those vulture associates of his can push him past his wits." I smiled as I wiped away a tear. "What are you making?" "Chocolate chip cookies," I said as I checked the oven. "Ooh! Scrooge loves those so much! You should surprise him by going down to the money bank!" I smiled at the idea as I took out the cookies for them to cool down.

"Maybe your right. But what if he doesn't want to see me right now?" Della scoffed and said, "then I will push his buttons for ignoring you." I giggled and placed the cookies on a platter while I had the rest of the cookies saved for the kids for after school.

Della and I called up Launchpad to drive us to the money bin. He pulled up in no time, but was nervous about leaving Scrooge behind. "Don't worry Launchpad. Ill take care of him if he overeacts." Launchpad drove carefully to the bank and let us out when we got there. We went up the top floor where Scrooge was having his meeting. The time was ten minutes after twelve o'clock, meaning his lunchbreak was about to come. I heard him yelling at the businessmen and my heart sunk. I dont like hearing him going through stress and having to deal with this.

The door suddenly happened and Scrooge went to the receptionist desk to tell her that he is on his lunch break. I saw the woman point in my direction with Scrooge turning around to face me.

Scrooge's POV
"Alright men, enjoy your lunchbreak." I sighed in frustration over the businessmen trying to take away funds from my money bank. I went out and told the receptionist where I'm heading. "Alright, lass, I'm headin' out to lunch." "Okay Mr. McDuck. Your wife is here as well." "Wait?!", I was in shock as I heard that. The receptionist pointed to my lassie, sitting down in her summer dress with a plate of some kind.

"Lass? What on earth are you doing here? Is everything alright?" She set the plate down and began to cry into my arms. "Oh honey. I missed you!" My eyes widened and I held her close. "Lass I wasn't going anywhere. Just this blasted office to deal with my costs." She looked at me and held my cheek. "You missed the kids first day of school." My heart broke in two. This whole week has me forgetting important events like my children's first day of school.

"Oh lass, I am so sorry. I want to make it up to you. What is that delightful smell? Is it you? You smell like chocolate chip cookies." (Y/N) blushed as she held up a plate of cookies. "Freshed baked cookies. Just how you like it." My eyes wielded with tears. "Oh lassie. You shouldn't have done this for me. Im going to gorge myself on these." She smiled as she held a cookie for me. "Eat. For me." My stomach growled as I ate the cookie.

"Oh my bagpipes. This is the best darn cookie in all of Duckberg!" I hugged (Y/N) with her tummy blocking me a bit. The baby gave a small kick inside as I chuckled gently. "Aye, lad or lass, too much hugging from papa? Don't you be hurtin' mama now." (Y/N) smiled at me and kissed me on my lips. "You should get to lunch, Mr. McDuck." I smiled and eagerly went back to the receptionist to tell her to cancel my afternoon meetings.

Your POV
I looked at Scrooge as he went to the receptionist and went back to me. "How about we have lunch together lass. I took off the afternoon and tomorrow for you." "But honey, what about your work." Scrooge rolled his eyes. "Bah! Those businessmen can email me later to discuss matters. I told them earlier you need me to be with you. Especially for the wee baby."

My heart fluttered as we went out to the limo with Della and Launchpad. "So you actually told the men off in the meeting?" Della asked as we drove off to the kids school. "Aye, I had enough for one week dealing with those men. I need a break. I need to be with my family and my beautiful, pregnant wife." We arrived at the school with the final bell ringing. Sheamus and Eleanor came running in to my arms. "Hi sweethearts! How was your day?" Sheamus smiled and said, "Awesome! We were learning about shapes and colors!" Eleanor smiled while she nodded, but she frowned. "Where is papa?"

I pretended to frown and said, "well honey he is busy and can be late at times in the evening." "But, I am Scrooge McDuck! And I need to be here with my children!" Eleanor squealed and ran to Scrooge's arms along with Sheamus. I smiled at the sight. "Say, how about we have a nice picnic." The kids cheered before the boys and webby came out with us to sit on a picnic blanket under a tree.

We ate some sandwiches packed by Della and cookies. I leaned by Scrooge and rested my head on his shoulder. "Hello lass." I smiled at him as he kissed me passionately. We shared a quick moment before pulling away, staring at each others eyes. "How's the wee lass?" I smiled as he touched my tummy. "Almost ready to come out." Scrooge's eyes widened. "Really? When lass? When?!" I chuckled. "Possibly two weeks, I have to see the doctor tomorrow to see if the baby is ready." "If only you let me know what the gender is."

"Not until the baby is born. Don't worry, I don't know what the baby is either. I told the doctor to not tell me, only if he or she is healthy. Plus, I want Della to be excited when we have a baby shower for him or her when they are born." Scrooge smiled at me as we cuddled together, watching the kids play and eat lots of cookies.
