Scrooge's POV
"Lass! Don't cry. Please don't cry," I said as I saw her eyes roll down her cheeks. She suddenly hugged me and shouted at the top of her lungs,"I LOVE YOU SCROOGE MCDUCK!" "Curse me kilts!" I thought to myself, "That's what she was going to tell me yesterday and the day before?" She continued to cry harder in my chest and I didn't know what to say or do. I slowly brought my hand up too her shoulder and placed her back on to the chair. "Lass, lass, calm down," I said as she sniffled and looked up at me. "You don't feel the same, do you?" I was caught off gaurd by her question. I'll admit she is a hard worker, polite, smart, and tough after hurting herself on accident out in the garden. But, how can I be in a relationship with my employee? It is considered unprofessional and out of line for someone like me to be in a relationship. "Lassie, I do like you very much, but-." Her tears continued to fall and she gripped her dress tightly. "I saw you kiss Goldie." If my mouth can reach the ground, it definitely would so after that comment."Oh lass, I am so sorry you had to see that. Goldie and I were reuniting after our long feud and being trapped in a cave for years. She escaped and left me frozen solid until a ray of sunshine melted the sap that was keeping me locked in place. From that point onward, I lost trust in almost everybody, except for you." Her beautiful (e/c) eyes looked up at me. They mau have been puffy and red from crying, but they were very beautiful. "Lassie, I don't know if I want a relationship at the moment. That kiss meant nothing to me and it shouldn't change on how you think of me." She looked away, still heartbroken. "I understand Scrooge." She got up and started to walk towards the door, unlocking it and walking out. I put my hand on my head, feeling a headache come on.
That night
Your POV
I went outside towards the garden in my nightgown, looking at a pond that showed my reflection. I saw a twig and broke it apart, throwing the remains in the pond. My head and heart hurts so much. I understand he doesn't want a relationship with me, but what about Goldie? I sae them kiss for heavens sake! I heard the back door open and close with Scrooge coming outside. I really don't want to see him right now, but I didn't run back inside for some reason."(Y/N), lass, you should head inside. It's awfully late and I hear thunder out in the distance." "Oh sure, now he worries about my safety after I tripped on something earlier?" I thought to myself. I didn't bother looking or responding as I felt a drop of rain hit my head. Scrooge raised his hand to feel the rain hit us. He sighed and looked down at me, worry in his eyes. "Lass, please, I understand you are upset at me, and I don't blame you, but we really need to get inside before lightning strikes us!" I sighed and threw my last twig in the pond and stood up to head inside, with Scrooge behind me. Scrooge made us both some hot chocolate and put the fireplace on. "Drink some hot chocolate, lass." I took the mug, sipped every once in a while. Scrooge looked at me, still worry in his eyes. "So your not even going to say anything to me?" I just stared in my mug, a tear escaping from my eye. "Thank you for the hot cocoa." He was surprised by my response and wiped my tear away with his finger. "Lass, I'm truly sorry for my actions and hurting you. I want to see your smile again, please tell me what I can do to make you smile again?"
I looked back at him, seeing a tear fall down his cheek. I raised my hand to wipe away his tear and he flinched, probably thinking I was going to slap him. I placed my other hand on his chest, rubbing it in soothing circles. "I won't hurt you." He looked away at the ground. "You probably should since I hurt you lass." I didn't know what to say. Yes, he broke my heart, but to physically hurt him because of my emotions doesnt seem right. "Scrooge, I didn't mean for this to happen. My emotions were plagued by love and jealousy." He smiled and began to chuckle. "Is that so? So when we were at the museum and you saw me dance with Goldie, you were jealous?" I groaned and nodded. It sickened me to watch that, but I couldn't take my eyes off of Scrooge's movements. "Yes, but you were also a good dancer," I confessed.
Scrooge got up, still chuckling and turned on the old radio. "Oh lass, if I danced with you, would you forgive me and forget this ever happened?" I blushed as he held out his hand. "Sure."
As the song played, Scrooge held my waist and I placed my hand on his shoulder. We began to waltz slowly, but still had our eyes locked in on each other. He twirled me around and dipped me down. "Lass, you are a very good dancer." "Well, I had a very good teacher." Scrooge smiled and brought me back up, placing my head on my shoulder as he lead the waltz for me. I felt bad as he was forgiving of me for not speaking. "Oh Scrooge, I am sorry for acting cold towards you today." Scrooge looked at me, placing his head on mine. "Ssh, lass. Its my fault you were acting this way. I should've known better than to mess with a woman's emotions." I pulled away from him, looking into his eyes. "Oh Scroogie," I blushed as I said his nickname. "(Y/N), lassie," his accent spoke so lovely as he said my name. He pulled me closer, my broken heart soon was pounding very fast. My hand reached up to his slightly red cheeks. Scrooge had a loving and caring smile and he placed his hand on my hip. "Bless me bagpipes, kiss me already lass." I took that comment in and kissed him a bit roughly, but soon turned into a loving kiss. The music and thunder boomers outside helped the kiss be magical. We pulled away for what felt like thirty seconds, breathing for oxygen.
"Curse us for needing oxygen," I said causing Scrooge to laugh. "Oh lass. We should head off to bed. But, you may sleep with me tonight." I blushed very hard as Scrooge took my hand to his bedroom. I know I have seen it countless times to clean, but this tine would be different as I am welcomed to sleep in his bed. I settled on the bed and Scrooge went behind me, pulling the covers up to keep us warm. "Good night lass." "Good night, Scroogie." We soon fell fast asleep in each others arms.
