Magic was sobbing in a corner.

Krow and Soup had stopped to rest under a cupboard in the dining room.

Magic hadn't tried to run back to the attic.

She had simply hugged the teddy bear and sobbed uncontrollably.

If she were stronger she would already be back with her friends, but Magic was just Magic, and even though she wasn't a baby she wasn't strong either.

"Magic" Soup said tiredly, "come on it's not that big of a deal."

Magic said nothing.

"Come on you can't keep ignoring me like this"

Still nothing.

"Shit Magic, I know you liked the rats, but I didn't know you'd be this upset!"

Nothing.

"You can't keep ignoring me forever"

Magic continued to sob, pretending she hadn't heard the brunette at all.

Soup opened her mouth to continue to try and talk to her but Krow stopped her.

"Just leave it Soup, she's obviously not gonna talk to you so we should just let her."

At the sound of Krow's voice Magic stopped sobbing to look up at it.

"Why d-did you kill K-Kyle?" Magic asked

"Excuse me?"

"Why did you kill Kyle?"

"I hadn't meant to kill him"

"So why did y-you?"

"Because he compared me to him Magic!"

Magic paused before saying.

"You didn't have to kill him just because he compared you to Owen."

"Like I said I didn't want to kill him, but all I saw in that moment was red."

Krow was scowling and Soup just shook her head.

Magic started to cry again.

She was crying for so long she didn't even notice the hand reach down and grab all three of them until she was pushed up against both Krow and Soup.

Magic shrieked, trying to wriggle out of the human's grasp.

Krow was biting at the humans skin, and making decent progress considering the amount of ungodly curses the man was spitting out.

Soup seemed to be too stunned to even do anything, which Magic couldn't blame her for. She hadn't ever been outside of the attic as far as Magic was aware, so she probably didn't realize how dangerous it was.

The man tossed them into a tiny cage with a small hole in it as well as some dried blood.

Magic bit back a scream as she landed on her broken arm.

"Are you ok?" Krow asked crawling over to her.

"I-I'm fine"

Magic hugged the stuffed bear closer to her, too scared to do much else as the man walked around, carelessly swinging the cage the trio was in.

Magic's good hand was holding the teddy bear, so she was sliding all over the place.

Eventually Krow grabbed her by its legs.

"Normally I would say let go of the bear, but I don't want you to start sobbing again." Krow said.

Magic said nothing, she was just thankful it didn't try to make her do that.
