Josh and his friends were at Andi's house. They were sitting in his living room with the TV on.
News Reporter: It is estimated that the destruction caused by the riot last night is at least $15 million dollars.
Josh couldn't help, but whistle.
"Damn, " said Andi.
"They'll be ight. They got insurance, " said Kelly.
"The fuck do you mean, they'll make it back with insurance?" asked Josh, "Most small businesses are uninsured. They're literally fucked. We may have ruined their lives dawg."
"Boy, what is the point of peacefully protesting? The black community have been peacefully protesting for years, Josh. The civil rights bill almost didn't passed until the Black Panthers stepped in. It scared the white people into giving some civil rights to the black community, " said Kelly.
" The Black Panther party didn't riot though. They simply carried guns in public and enacted programs in their community, " said Josh in a rebuttal. Josh and Kelly looked at Lian in hopes that he would provide the middle ground.
"Well, you both do have a point. Kelly, you are right that peaceful protesting isn't as effective as everyone makes it out to be. Radical actions do have to be taken to fight injustice in this country. Hell, we murdered the KKK. However, the radical actions shouldn't be limited to rioting. Rioting can be effective in bringing immense attention to a cause, but also destroy efforts to spread the cause, " said Lian.
"Josh is right when he says the small business are 'fucked' because they generally are uninsured due to the owners not being born into money. The most effective tool we have is vote harvesting. We need to get out the vote and vote out all of these politicians who are complicit in the system. Pressuring these politicians and confronting these politicians is the most effective tool we have, " said Lian. The group was impressed by Lian's words.
"Well, on the bright side, we aren't the only city to be rioting. Did you see the pictures from Minneapolis yet?" asked Andi.
"Yes bro. It looked like the apocalypse arrived or some, " said Kelly.
"Now that's a lesson on why you should never fuck over people. Because when people get tired, nothing is off limits from the uprising, " said Andi.
"Since we are talking about riots, what started that shit?" asked Kelly.
"Apparently, somebody shot a gun at the cops, " said Lian.
"So those were really gunshots damn, " said Andi as he put his hand over his mouth.
"I don't think they were even people at the protest. I heard from folks that them motherfuckers were driving a red sedan, " said Lian.
" I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't. We had a whole lotta white folks mad yesterday. One white person tried to hop on our ass talking about 'unemployed' like who are you?!" said Andi with a laugh.
"Really, where was this?" asked Lian.
"When we crossed the bridge to enter the eastside, " replied Andi.
"Wow, I knew that there was some animosity existent there towards the black community. I didn't know it was that strong, " said Lian. Lian shook his head in disappointment.

At City Hall, the mayor was meeting up with the police commissioner to talk about the riots and appropriate measures to take. The mayor was upset.
"What the hell, Rob? You promised me that you had all of this under control, " Said the mayor.
"Mr. Mayor, I apologize if you are frustrated by this. So am I. But we had no choice. They shot at my officers. The hell did you want me to do? Let my officers sit there and be slaughter like sheeps!" responded the police commissioner. They mayor put his hand on his forehead. He gave out a deep sigh.
