Ominis held shut the door, his panic set in further, Sebastian joined in with holding the other door shut whilst Eliza cowered behind Ominis' body. The voice of Mr Abbot struggling to open the door had him on edge
"GAUNT! OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW!" Placing his foot on the carriage side to give him more strength, he felt Eliza's hand snake around his waist
"Open it..."
"Are you bloody insane? No I'm not opening it!" Sebastian shoved past, kicking open the door judge by the thud, followed by her shoving him on the chair
"STUPEFY!" This was bad, this was very bad! She had openly attacked his boss who could hand out arrest warrants like it was a casual passing of biscuits, he could feel the carriage begin to jolt as it took off from it's space, slamming shut the door he felt her lay on the floor with a heft of a drop
"Eliza you just attacked my boss, he could have you arrested for that!" She begun to laugh...laugh? What could be so funny to her that she would start laughing like it was nothing
"I don't care, judging by that...we're all going to have warrants. You are no doubt out of a job, me and Sebastian will probably also lose ours. Hope you enjoy Azkaban boys as that's going to be ur home after this!" She had lost it, her laughter more maniacal. She eventually calmed down on the journey to pass out asleep. The adrenaline began to leave his body, Sebastian heavily breathing
"I can't believe we did that Ominis. I can't go to Azkaban, I narrowly avoided that bloody place at 15, we have no way we're smooth talking out of this" a chance, a small chance
"Get out your quill and some paper Sebastian, write a note to Sharp, explain what happened. All of it, no doubt Mr Abbott is going to send Aurors after us so he's going to hear about it one way or another. He should know what to do"*Sebastians POV*
Sending the letter off with a flick of his wand he honestly hoped they wasn't waiting when they landed, Ominis sat with his head in his hands, the realisation of it all finally hitting him. Eliza had laughed until she passed out, something he needed to ask her about when he had a chance to get her on her own. Why would hitting Mr Abbot cause her such joy, he had seen that twinkle in her eye after she had stood out from Ominis and taken control of the situation. It was insane for her to have done but she must have known the move of every one of them there, that was one of the perks of being one of the best, and taught by Hecate.
Ominis was once one of the best duellists and could give him a run for his money but it seemed the job had made him soft. He would freeze. Or it could have been a one off as the consequences of this as so high.
"Ominis?" His eyes shut but he nodded to acknowledge he was listening, arms folded. The locket of Slytherin still hung around his neck judging by the chain peeking out from his collar. He had made a point of keeping it safe from his family relatives with it being an heirloom, many times had he remarked how his brother had almost got hold of it.
"Do you think Mr Abbot is who was blackmailing Eliza? I saw how she looked hitting him with that spell. Her eyes looked like she took it personally in some way"
"Even if he was, she would need proof of it, he's smart. If he was going to blackmail he'd only do it in person, and you didn't see his face so you can't put a face to them" Looking down she was still awkwardly sprawled out on the carriage floor. Her breathing rapid, her wand still gripped in her right hand. Whatever had ran through her mind it had given her enough courage to do what she did.Judging by Sebastian's breathless wow they had swooped over part of Paris, it had been a silent few hours travel, he hadn't heard Eliza once besides her breathing from the floor
"Cmon Ominis, we're about to land, wake her up. Only a short walk up the Lestrange place then we can call this done with and face whatever comes at us" gulping he nodded in agreement. Crouching down he brushed his hand on her cheek down the curve of her neck
"Eliza, come on get up my rose. We're in Paris, we need you to direct us where we need to go" shuffling and her joints clicked as she stretched, it made him wince from how loud some of them sounded. Mental note- get her to have it checked it out!Cold air danced on his skin, causing him to pull his cape around him that bit more, his knuckles threatened to break his wand with how hard he was clutching it. Yet the trail was eerily silent; it seemed like they was a few steps ahead of the Aurors for once but it wouldn't last, it never does. He detected sound coming from behind
"Bushes, now" scurrying to duck behind them his hand reached to grip Sebastians wrist, Merlin he was boiling hot! How could he be so warm whilst Ominis felt like he was ice cold?!
"Just a passerby on a horse. We're safe to continue on. They veered right whilst we need to go left" Eliza whispered. Brushing off the leaves stuck to his clothing he felt that prod on his back that he was there, she would keep her eyes open for behind.*Eliza's POV*
This crypt had to be the largest yet that she had searched through! It's pillars towered with a massive two man door decorated with the crest in the middle with a raven. She would have never thought to travel this far to look for it, but if it was here it had a connection clearly. She noticed the snakes from the corner of each door, their eyes seemed alive. Trying the door it refused to budge
"Ominis I think we need your Parseltongue here. There's snakes on each side of the door" gliding past her his hands fumbled to find the handle. There was something elegant about it as a talent, it had always intrigued her how effortlessly he could slip into the use of it. She must admit at one point she had tried to figure the language out but was disappointed to learn you couldn't understand it without being that direct link to Salazar. How to keep it in the family some had gone so far as to be with other family members that had the same gift to give their children the best chance of its lineage. Ominis had been very honest how his parents was in fact related in some way but only he had got the gift out of his siblings which had made him an even bigger target to his siblings. Whilst his parents had sneered about the 'useless one' was given the greatest gift and would reject their families stances on everything yet he couldn't escape that he was Salazar's descendant.
Even how the doors opened sent chills down her spine, yet that flicker of small magick sparks had her eyes light up
"It's here!" Sebastian looked puzzled, giving her a side eye glance
"How do you know its here just from the opening of the doors?"
"Remember when I told you I can see traces that others can't all those years ago? Remember how confused you was when we went to that cottage and I could see them? Well in the distance is traces. We follow them and we can find the chamber!" She practically dashed through the crypt, Sebastian and Ominis following behind her. She hadn't this much excitement for years! But now, now she could get hold of its magick within to keep it safe, but understand how to cure those who need it.Something wasn't right and he knew it, it was too easy. Sebastian led the way with him keeping a firm grip on his hand, he had no issues holding onto Sebastian's hand to run wherever he needed to go, at least that way he could avoid going head first into a coffin or something equally ass frustrating.
"Bombarda!" The voice yelled from a distance, it wasn't Eliza. Sebastian tugged hard, the crumbling of rocks fell behind them both. Lifting himself from the floor Sebastian shoved him back slightly
"Petrificus Totales! Shit, fuck, bollocks. Ominis we need to get to Eliza NOW! It's an ambush, she's too far away!"*Eliza's POV*
Pushing her wand on the circular chamber it whirred with glee at her wand's touch, strands of whites and blues shot into her wand and up her arm- delving deep into her mind. Finally- she could close it off from anymore risk but have it's knowledge
"I don't think so Miss Dorian" that familiar click of the heels had her stand up straight "I told you what happened if you wasn't compliant" keeping her back turned from him she smirked. Of course, it had been to easy to run through.
"You did, but I guess I didn't give a damn anymore"
"Crucio!" She fell forward, she had learned one thing to do with the cruciatus spell was to embrace the pain even when it wanted you to die. The pain behind her eyes had started, infecting her mind to believe the pain was unbearable and never ending. It had gained him an advantage point to kick her over
"Now Miss Dorian, sorry to say this but here is where you'll die. Alone and forgotten. Whilst poor Mr Sallow and Gaunt will be blamed for it, they'll live out the rest of their lives in Azkaban""EXPELLIARMUS"
