Friday - Street Race

Nat

Practice was over and the sun was starting to set and I was still at the paddock trying to find Daniel since he was giving me a ride home.

After the practices, I went over to the Ferrari garage and had some doughnuts with Charles, Carlos and Lewis and we talked about the rest of the weekend together.

The paddock lights turn on to light up the path and I still can't find Daniel anywhere.

"Howdy stranger." Someone says behind me. I turn around and Lando is there.

"Well, my day just gets better and better each time I see you," I reply. He smiles knowing I was being sarcastic. He was wearing a McLaren hoodie and black jeans as well.

"Who are you looking for? You look lost." He asks. I sigh.

"Your teammate he was supposed to give me a ride home since I came with him. But I guess he went out with his family so I am now stuck here which isn't good cause I need to get home and change for something." I tell him. He steps closer with a confused look on his face.

"I can get you back to the hotel but you have to tell me what you are doing first." He says. I cross my arms together and he raises an eyebrow signalling that he is not kidding.

"Fine if you must know or remember 'cause I did tell you. 2nd the last race before I have to leave. The race is being held on the track and the streets." I say to him. He smiles again but it is a very evil smirk.

"Alright let's go then don't want the Race Month champ to be late to a race." He says.

"Pfft I always arrive late but it is fashionably late," I say to him passing him and going over to the exit/entry of the paddock area. I walk out and I look for a car.

"Lando, where is your car?" I ask.

He then comes from behind me and clicks something then on the side the headlights of an orange and black McLaren turn on. I love sports cars.

"I'm driving so don't even think about asking." He says. I groan walking behind him towards the car. I go over to the passenger side and hop in.

"Question why were you at the track so late?" I ask.

"Strategy meeting turns have been hard to navigate." He replies turning on the car and leaving the track.

15 minutes later

We arrive back at the car park and I race out of the car and to the lobby, passing everyone and stopping at the elevators waiting for them to come down.

"You know you need to be more patient," Lando says standing next to me. "Can I come to your race?"

"Fine if you will stop bothering me and get changed quickly I need to meet Luke and Jade to get my car," I say. He nods in response and we hurry to get in the elevator as the doors shut. When the doors open I walk over to my room and enter without saying another word. I change into:
