Tuesday Night

Nat

As I am walking through the streets of Melbourne I get to see that it is so vibrant and colourful at night. The cars coming past with their headlights on, then the street lights on the footpath.

Stores, bars, and restaurants are at full blast during the night making everything more alive.

It's so fun, yet calming in a way that I know wherever I would turn there would be something new to look at, and another thing to admire.

My phone dings.

Daniel: where are you?

I just ignore the message and continue with my walk. I travel some more through the city when I see a big standing wheel. It looks like the one in London. They called it the London Eye. I walk towards it, getting a closer look. Colours were going around the wheel making everything seem like a party as it slowly rotates.

We arrived back at the hotel.

"Where did Nat go?" Daniel asks. "She isn't answering any of my texts."

"I don't know all I know is that she didn't come back on the bus," Max replies.

"Don't worry she is a tough girl she'll be right," Kelly replies. Max, Kelly, and Daniel then go up to their rooms.

I look towards the entrance of the door again looking at cars driving past and different people entering the building. I get a tap on the shoulder. I turn around and Charles and Charlotte are looking at me.

"You should go and find her, not that I don't trust her. It's just I don't want anything to happen." Charles says.

"Now why would I do that? She doesn't even find me a friend." I reply to him.

"Are you dense? The way she looks at you, plus she talks about you." Charlotte chimes in.

"Even if I did, I wouldn't know where to look and I doubt she would be pleased to see me," I say to them. They look at me with sorrow and sadness. They knew I cared for her and how she would always have her wall up with everyone, they just wanted her to find someone, someone good. "Will you guys come with me? I know she'll listen to the two of you."

"Of course mate," Charles replies. We then head back out and started walking through the vibrant streets of Melbourne.

"Wow, Melbourne is something different," Charlotte says.

"It has such a great atmosphere," I reply to her.

"They have such amazing bars, restaurants, and stores. Also amazing people. Take Daniel for example." Charles chimes in. We arrived at an intersection, watching all the cars go past, with the tram line in the middle. People walking about. The walking man is red. I look to the other side of the road and I see someone in a dark red dress waiting to cross the road. Her dark brown hair was down against her shoulders, and her hands were against her arms trying to keep her warm. Dark heels, emerald green eyes. I knew from there it was Nat.

"It's Nat," I reply not looking away from the girl whose eyes haven't left some of the cars coming past.

"Yep, that's her, not admitting to the cold so she won't be cold," Charles says.

"Let's bring her back." Charlotte chimes in. Just then our eyes met. She gets taken aback by her vision. "She looks distressed."

"She isn't going to stay there," I reply. I then watch her as she turns her back to us and walks the other way. We wait there impatiently waiting for the green light to walk across the road. Seconds go by and the green light is shown. We then speedwalk across the road trying to dodge the people coming our way. We then see her still walking down the road.
