The heart and the brain

I love you says the heart,
While the brain stays quiet,
I've loved you from the start,
Repeats the heart beginning to riot,

But yet again the brain does not speak,
I love you, can't you love me too?
The heart screams feeling alone and weak,
But the brain feels nothing as he takes in the view,

Of the little heart shattered in two,
And then finally the brain begins to speak,
"It was never meant to be just me and you,
I am smart and you are weak,

A brain has no heart,
And a heart has no brain,
And that's why you will never understand, little heart,
And I will never share your love and pain
