We were young and in love,
With only each other in mind,
Two flames soaring far above,
Our souls forever intertwinedThe day we met I'll never forget,
The smile on your lovely face,
It made me have not a single regret,
Meeting you in that dreary placeWith our hearts aligned,
And our love as hot as fire,
In the darkness of our mind,
Each other we will desireTime goes by,
And we begin to fade away,
Our flames do not burn as high,
As night turns to dayThere's a sense of cruel intent,
As darkness takes you that sunny day,
And I'm left only with your lovely lavender scent,
As I too dwindle away-Jack Q, written 2023
