Dear Lukas,
Hey, man. I haven't talked to you in a long time. I hope you remember me from school around a year ago. I'm really sorry about what happened and I want to apologize. I feel that an apology would be more appropriate In person. I want you to know that I am very sorry for what I did in our last moments together.
After you left the county, Berwald had given me your number but you would not respond to my texts or calls. I started to wonder if you were actually receiving them. I didn't know if you had ditched your phone. I seem to remember that it had never worked and the battery would never hold. So, once I asked again, he had given me your address. Sorry if that's creepy.
I'm sorry about what happened a couple years ago. I didn't really mean for it to turn out that way. So, I was wondering if we could meet up again. I had assumed you were going to college or to continue in school, but your address shows otherwise. It was apparently not really custom in some places in Europe to do so. Your address shows that you had moved to Iceland, but I do not have any idea as it was only a P.O. Box. You have left me and your old friends behind in the dark.
I really hope you're doing well outside of school. I also really hope kept in touch with your other family after school. If you're wondering, I haven't continued in school. I mostly just travel know with some old friends of mine you may remember. I did travel to Denmark, like we had always wanted to. I tried to contact you, but you would not answer. I had remembered barely anything about Denmark since I was last there as a child. The place had a much happier atmosphere. The people were very kind and everything was wonderful, except of course the taxes. They kinda suck when it comes to taxes. I hope, if you haven't already, visit Denmark with your family.
Berwald, Tino, and I all want to see you and your brother again. I think we should get back in touch soon. I know you will still be mad at me but I think we should meet up soon again. I haven't seen you in a year or so and it would be amazing if we could meet again. Please call me when you receive the letter. See you soon, Lukas.
Sincerely,
Matthias Køhler
