I choose to straighten my hair for the event. I styled my hair in a high slick ponytail.

I got dressed into something I felt comfortable in and placed some jewelry on.

I grabbed my bag and walked out of my room.

I know I wasn't dressed classy enough to impress my mother but at this point, I didn't care anymore.

I met with Matthew downstairs and we got into his car. The air was suffocating and uncomfortable for the whole drive to the gallery.

The moment the car stopped I got out but regretted it once flashes of light hit me.

Paparazzi

"Get away from my wife!" Matthew's strong voice boomed through the crowd of paparazzi.

He pushed through the crowd and wrapped his arms around me.

I hate pretending

Ughh

He pulled me away from the crowd as they blast questions at us. We soon entered the gallery and I removed myself from Matthew's arm.

He gave me an annoyed look before walking forward.

I don't like you either

"Do you like it?" a familiar voice whispered into my ear and I smiled.

I was standing in front of a painting, admiring her beautiful work.

"Actually no I don't," I said before turning around. She looked at the painting before looking at me.

"Why? I mean that's my best piece yet. At least I thought it is-"

"Jaylynn I love it," I said and she smiled.

"I think my heart stopped for a moment," she joked while holding her chest.

She was dressed in a tux and damn she looks hot.
