The lights flickered overhead as Yeosang yawned, awakening from his accidental nap. He blinked the sleep from his eyes, glancing around as he found he was the only one left in the lab. He eyed Kyungsoon's station with tired eyes, wondering where she could've gone. She was a special after all, so she hardly needed actual rest. He turned back to the station in front of him, wanting to continue working when a latch sounded to his right, setting his nerves on edge.

There was only one door over there.

Saem's room.

He turned slowly, meeting the eyes of the young boy. His heart pounded loudly in his chest.

"You're not supposed to leave your room," he said slowly, trying to reach for a weapon of some sort on the lab desk.

Saem smiled innocently.

"It's awfully quiet down here. That doesn't make you the slightest bit nervous?"

Yeosang narrowed his eyes.

"Everyone else went to sleep. It's the middle of the night. But that doesn't mean I'll let you roam around wherever you want. If you don't go back in your room, I'm afraid I'll have to use force."

"Ooh, I'm so scared," Saem giggled, shutting the door behind him.

Yeosang stood, raising the syringe he'd managed to grab.

"The lab won't be empty for long! I won't let you leave this room."

Saem sighed, putting his hands in his pockets.

"Then you've got nothing to worry about. I'm right where I want to be."

Yeosang raced to the entrance to the lab, jamming his hand down on the security lock. Immediately, each of the doors shuddered as they were forcibly bolted from below. Jinyoung had shown him this as a precaution if the zombies ever escaped.

"I told you, I don't plan on going anywhere. You're really just making your own situation much worse," Saem laughed, starting to walk towards the wing where the specials slept.

Yeosang raced forward, calling out to his friends.

"Hongjoong!! Mingi!! Felix!! Bang Chan!! Saem is loose, be careful!"

Saem turned back, the smug smile still plastered on his cheeks.

"You really are slow."

Yeosang slowed, not wanting to get too close just yet. He knew the risk if Kyungsoon walked in on him attacking her brother.

"What are you talking about? You don't stand a chance! They're all locked in their rooms so you can't do anything to hurt them."

Saem just chuckled, shaking his head.

"Those rooms are empty, you idiot. It's a good thing you're such a deep sleeper. You could've messed up everything."

Yeosang tried to understand his cryptic message but his heart didn't want to believe him.

"What do you mean? They would never leave the lab."

"Sure, not if they were in control."

Yeosang's eyes widened.

"You..."

"I did. I freed them."

Yeosang shook his head.

"Why would you do that??"

Saem rolled his eyes.

"They're part of my plan, that's why. I couldn't possibly carry it all out on my own. It wouldn't be as satisfying."
