I sat on my balcony and I looked out at the werewolf city. It was the prettiest at night, but right now I was really in the need of a distraction so I stared down at the city just before sunset.
"She is glorious isn't she"
I remembered Black's words the day I'd first come to the werewolf city. The day that I'd first met all of those whom I've come to love. I felt a tear roll down my face, when. . .
" Ugh you're so sensititve." I heard a voice call out to me from behind.
I jolted up, and turned around to see all of my kidnappers. I felt a smile tug on the corners of my mouth, and I let it tug.
" What are you guys doing here. " I asked specifically to Violet since she had been the first to comment on my tear.
" We brought candy! We thought we could cheer you up" Pink said raising up the delicious treats happily.
"We all knew that you were going through a lot. These past few weeks have been hard for all of us, and probably you the most. With the training and then your parents. We really thought it would be nice if we'd come and, I don't know sulk together." Peach said with a wary look on her face.
My smile grew bigger. They were right. It had been just over a month since the attack on our city. And we had no idea when the next attack would come but we were going to be prepared. We'd doubled the amount of training that our warriors would have been doing normally. So we're always running and sparring; always working on our physical needs.
So at the end of each day I didn't have the energy to think about my mate and his girlfriend. Nor did I have time to mend my bond with my parents. They were currently staying in one of the cities hotels. I hadn't had a solid conversation with them in a long time and I didn't know when I would.
I'd eventually had to quit my job as a trainer and as expected non of my trainers were too excited about that.
We'd all been working hard to prepare for the battle to prepare for the next attack. We were going to protect the city.
But at that moment we just needed a break.
"So what do you say? Can we join you?" Forest asked me rasing his eyebrows smiling.
And I sighed smiling, "Yeah."
So for the first time in who knows when, I actually really got to know my friends. It felt like I was meeting them all over again. Well of course there was always Violet. And there was no getting used to her. Although she seemed like your average bada** girl, our relationship was complicated. The words that she spoke were unpredictable, as were her actions. When we first met she appeared as if she hated my guts, little did I know that, that was her way of expressing herself. Kind of how you tease your little siblings.
" Hey can you pass the hersey bar over here?" I asked Violet, while Pink braided my hair. The girl really had a thing for hair, clothes, and jewlery. She was most definitely a girly girly. She was literally smiling all of the time. She could bring up anyone's sulky attitude. Which often made me question how Violet and Pink were even friends.
" Yeah, sure I can. "Violet said nonchalantly, but she didn't reach for the chocolate bar.
I frowned at her holding my hand out for the bar.
"Hey , I just said that I could. Never said that I would. " she said looking at me blankly, as if I'd done something crazy.
I rolled my eyes reaching for the chocolate bar, she was so lame, but Forest beat me to it.
He handed me the bar, smirking. " Well I'll hand it to you. If others won't" He gave Violet the evil eye, before kissing her on the cheek.
And if you're anything like me, then you probably just took a double take. I frowned at the two as Violet blushed and leaned in to give Forest a kiss on the lips.
And my mouth stood a jar.
" They're mates you know." I heard someone whisper in my ear.
I turned to find an amused Peach.
" For how long? I mean since when did they know?" I asked as they continued their smooching session.
" Since before we'd kidnapped you." Pink said from behind me as she continued to play with my hair.
I laughed at her. They had indeed kidnapped me, and yet here I was.
" And Pink here, has a thing for Maroon." Peach whispered below, Violet and Forest's giggling and flirting.
" Hey but I'm waiting for my mate. I just turned sixteen and I'm ready for him. Where ever he his. " Pink said sweetly, as she defended herself.
Pink was younger than the rest of us, but she was an extreme genius, so she was about to finish her senior year, on her online courses, just as I was.
Peach smiled at her, " He'll come around soon."
I smiled at her too, not realizing that she couldn't see me. I looked over at Maroon, and noticed that he was fiddling with his fingers not paying attention to any of us.
Forest seemed to noticed this too, as he tore his lips from Violet's. " Hey dude, calm down, everything is going to be alright."
Forest was surprisingly mellow, opposed to the rest of us. So how did he even get along with Violet. I sighed in my mind. I guessed opposites attract.
" We should be training, not eating candies, they could attack at any moment."
Peach got up to sit beside him and rubbed his back. " It's going to be okay, Maroon. We're warriors we can handle this. " she said trying to calm his fiddling.
" They shouldn't have to worry i
They can handle stuff like this." I heard the moon goddess speak up in my mind.
" I'm sorry", I blurted out as if I were making a confession.
Pink stopped her braiding as everyone else stared at me astonished.
" If it wasn't for me, you wouldnt have to worry about these attacks. They came here for me in the first place. If it wasn't for me you guys woul-" I began.
" No stop! " I heard Pink yell.
I looked over at her surprised by her vocal strength, well I guess I should have known considering the fact that She was a high ranking werewolf warrior at such a young age.
" None of this is anyones fault, except for the Alpha of that pack." Pink said her fist in balls.
" She's right Isa, you're no enemy, you're our family and we'll do anything to protect you. " Forest said seriously, his hand latched with Violet's.
I gave them a weak smile.
" Yeah and I guess Peach is right. We can handle it. We're Warriors aren't we. " Marron said his fingers no longer figetting.
My smile grew bigger at his words and even bigger at Peach's reaction.
"Wait what do you mean you 'guess Peach is right'. . . mister control freak. " Peach exclaimed playfully as she slightly punched his arm.
"Hey! I am not a control freak!" He exclaimed smiling. It was evident that he was lying.
We all started laughing at this including Maroon himself. We all knew good and well that Maroon was a control freak.  He would always need order. In a way I guess that's what made us similar.

I walked back into my room, leaving the rest of my friends out on my balcony. I needed to use the restroom. So as I was making my way to my bathroom, I most definitely did not intend on seeing a sleeping Black on one of the chairs near my bed.
I stopped in my tracks as I looked at him. He looked so peaceful, as if the entire cities lives weren't weighted on his shoulders as the were on my mind. And I cringed as I realized that as soon as he woke up all of that was going to change.
He would realize that his peaceful dream was not his life and he'd wake up to a nightmare.
Was it weird of me to say that I didn't want that for him. I wanted him to live a peaceful life, he cared for so much and he had so many responsibilities. And I didn't like that.
