Today was the day of the battle, everyone was tense. I hadn't spoken a word to anyone except, to announce our departure.

As we ran to the open field, in my head, I was listing all of the possible things that could go wrong. And if it wasn't for the moon goddess's boost in confidence, I'd probably be a nervous wreck.

Ever since the day Black confessed about his feelings for me, she'd been extremely ecstatic. But I don't know why, it wasn't like I liked Black.

"Stop lying to yourself, Isa. You know how you feel for Black. Stop hiding it." The moon goddess spoke to me in my head.

I shook my wolfish head in response. Today wasn't the day to have a blocked mind about Black. I needed to stay focused. I couldn't let anything distract me.

" Spread out." I commanded my warriors, and they did as told. We all split into five groups of twelve. The gang was in my group, and I liked it that way I needed my friends closest to me.

When we did step onto the field, as expected The Cunning and Mitchel Pack, was already waiting for us. Both packs stood in clusters, standing side by side. They could only see the twelve wolves that were in my group, and we were the only scents that they could smell. With all of the wolves on the field, they would not be able to tell, that I had four other groups scattered, prepared for a surprise attack.

I watched as Alpha Ethan made his way into the center of the field, between the packs and my warrior, with Sam beside him. Black and I did the same, being the head warriors, we were the closet thing that we would get to leaders.

I watched as Sam bowed his head, waiting for Ethan to do the same. However, he just stared at us, showing us a sign of disrespect.
I let out a growl. We could not fight if he did not bow his head. It was simple protocol, like shaking hands before sparring.
However at the sound of my growl, Ethan, eventually, bowed. And Black and I followed as suit.
With all of our heads bowed, the battle could begin. However, nobody moved. I looked from Black, to the packs, and then to my warriors. And I only saw fear, in the eyes of all of them.
I rolled my eyes, all signs of sensitivity gone, this was no time for fear. I had too many life's at stake.
Impatiently, I lunged at Their Alpha Ethan. And with that, the fight began.
Their pack ran for my twelve warriors head on, and my warriors did the same. But while the packs were sprinting towards my set of twelve, two of my other groups of warriors came running after them, as planned.
It did not take Ethan long before he responded to my attack, he nudged me off of him, leaving my sprawled on the ground.
The moon goddess was already begging for control, and I wasn't about to hesitate to grant it to her. Ethan and I fought, a perfect match for each other. Who would have thought that with just a little practice, I'd be as strong as the Alpha.
" You'd be stronger if you'd let me take control" the moon goddess yelled inside my head.
" okay, your right." I told her, as I gave her full control. And just as I did so I felt the rest of my warriors make their way onto the field.
I smiled one last wolfish grin, before all of my limbs were granted to the moon goddess.
But she didn't just take control, she did so much more than that. She did what she'd done at the sparring match with Silver.
Involuntarily I felt myself being pushed into a small corner, just as I had been before. However this time instead of crying about it, I grew angry.
In fact, for the first time, I became just as angry as the moon goddess was. And with both of us sharing an equal frustration, our strength with doubled. And it was like I had control again. As if both of us shared the control, not only could I feel every punch, but I could fight back.
"We're working as one" the moon goddess said with pride. And, I smiled.
Both of us lunged at Ethan, just as he lunged at us, we both jumped high over the on going fight between the city in the packs.
Since we were so high in the air I took the opportunity to see who was winning. I saw multiple dead bodies, and I noticed that the remaining set of my warriors had made it to the field. We seemed to heavily outnumber both packs, which could only mean that we were winning.
But I guess it wasn't until I saw one particular lifeless Violet hanging in the mouth of AMAYA, did I howl in pain.
I turned my head back towards Ethan and realized he was closer than expected. He knocked me on the ground, encaging me in his legs.
I leaped forward, sending him flying in the air, his pack was going to pay for the life's of Peach and Violet. Two friends that I would never get back because of their actions.
Something so much more powerful than anger was fuming in me now.
I fought with Ethan, never once giving him the upperhand to leave me sprawled on the ground. I even took down any of his wolves that tried to interfere with our one on one battle.
As selfish as it felt, by this point I was solely fighting for Peach and Violet. I would avenge them.
The moon goddess tugged on Ethan's furry neck anxious to rip it all of. We were on a high, there was nothing that could stop us now. Wait you know what scratch that, maybe the howl of a certain wolf, just might have stopped us.
I ripped my teeth out of his fur and turned to where I saw Silver's mouth full of a dead Sam Mitchel's blood, as he stood staring at me. His eyes full of nothing but guilt and regret. I knew that the emotions were aimed towards me, so I started to run towards him, as I noticed his legs begin to fell him.
"Noo" the moon goddess said, through our wolf mouth.
As I run towards our mate, I feel Ethan's canine teeth wrap around our leg. I forgot, that we were fighting.
Swiftly I turn around, and widen my jaw as large as it can get. And I snap it.
("Off with he's h. . You know the rest.")
With Ethan dead, I turn back to face an also dead Silver. And I howl in pain.
"This wasn't supposed to happen this way. " the moon goddess and I think at the same time.
With both of the Alpha's dead, the battle is over and so is this mini war.
I search the battlefield and only see four remaining wolves.
I realize that all of those who belonged to the two packs, are dead, as I recognize the four wolves to be my warriors.
I sigh in relief, as I look at Black's face. My gaze then turns to see a dismantled Pink, and next to her I see Forest. Anxiously, I look passed her to see a wolf who I'd mistaken to be my warrior.
I lung for her, quick to snap her neck.
"That was for Violet." I say through the mindlink, glaring at a dead Amaya. I know she can't hear me, but the others can and they growl venomously, at her corpse.
What was she doing fighting in this battle anyway, she wasn't a warrior.
I sigh; I guess she was a Luna.
I feel tears form in my eyes, what was this fight even about anyway. Did all of these people die over a simple case misplaced anger.
I shift ordering the rest to head back to the city. I stare down at my died frenemy, with tears that soak my loose clothes.
I feel a hand on my shoulder, and I stand to my feet.
"You know you fought here for a reason, Isa. " Black says behind me, his hand never leaving my shoulder.
I shake my head, " Do you mind telling me that reason?"
"You didn't just fight to avenge, our lost friends, our to get revenge on the pack that had decided to hide you and shun you. But, Today you chose your destiny." he says, sincerely.
I roll my eyes, my back still turned to him as I start down at Amaya's body. " Enough with the destiny stuff!" I sniffle.
" Hey there, Ms. Krabby pants, listen to Black. He's right." the mood goddess, says in a soothing tone.
" Remember the day that we first met? " Black asks, as I nod my head.
" That day I told you that as the moon goddess, you have the power to lead all wolves in the right direction. And today you have officially granted the members of two packs the ability to live a life of equality. But you may still have to gain their trust. You did just kill their Alphas, and warriors" He pauses.
I smile, as he says this, in a way he kinda of easened the mood.
"And no offence when I say this, if the werewolf community doesn't begin to change it's ways, we'll all end up like your parents Isa. So loyal to their leader, that they betrayed their own daughter. " he continues.
I swirl around facing him with a smile. I place a finger to his lips, as I speak. " Black, you and your speeches. I love them. Thank you."
He looks down at me shocked. He clearly didn't think that I'd be thanking him, nor did he think that I'd even think to interupt his speech.
Suddenly, I find myself staring speechless at a handsome, breathtaking Black.
As I stare at him, I realize that he is right. I do have an obligation and this was only the beginning. Of course I felt wrong about killing these warriors and the Alpha's, but they were just as guilty, as they'd killed the spirits of the members of their packs slowly, by making them feel as if they are inferior, by having the bow down, by using the Alpha tone. And in a way, that was so much more worse.
So many other packs need to be free of this. They need to know. Someone needs to tell them
I need to tell them.
"I think you mean we need to tell them. " the moon goddess states this as if it were obvious logic.
I smile at her comment, my eyes still boaring into Black's.
" Your smile is beautiful." Black says his eyes no longer looking into mine, but zeroed in on my lips.
I blush I see his face tilt into mine, as I lean into his.
Our faces are inches apart, but we don't kiss.
And the next words that leave his mouth, isn't I love you, or your mine. But I will admit that they were a little cliche, but I was okay with it.
"Your safe with me. " Black says his forehead resting on mine, both of us wanting only to kiss.
But one couldn't really do in a field of dead bodies.
So we took of, shifting in mid-air.
