The past week went by faster than expected. I spent most of my time on my own, doing homework, finishing chores. During school, I tried my best not to let my jealousy show, when my friends would drool all over their mates. They hung out with them 24/7. I had barely had a solid conversation with either Michelle or Amaya, since the night of the ball.

Now don't get me wrong I completely understand the fact that since my friends found their mates, now they want to be with them or maybe even just around them. But I never thought that when they found their mates that it would restrain our friendship. So this whole week, in attempt to hide my jealous attitude, I pretended to be the excited and perky best friend, who's not only happy that her friends found their mates but who's ecstatic that one of them has an alpha for a mate.

So here I am, sprawled out on my living room couch watching Divergent, while eating junk foods. I've got hot fries, popcorn, soda, ice cream, and tons of candy. Amaya and Michelle are out on a double date with their mates. I wonder where they went this time. Probably went to the beach. I took a bite of one of my pieces of candy, reverting my attention back to the movie.

The movie had just hit it's climax when I heard 3 bangs on the front door. I turned my head to where I heard the sound come from.

" Who on Earth would be knocking on my door at this time of night?" I said aloud, while making my way to the door. Once I was there I took a look through the peep hole and saw nothing. I shook my head closing the peep hole..... just to open it back up to look out again. And this time I saw . . . absolutely nothing.

I chuckled to myself, turning around to walk back to the living room. I cursed under my breath realizing that I forgot to pause the movie.

" Ughh" I grunted aloud, frustrated. I began to walk towards the room when I heard another bang on the door behind me. However this bang sounded as if it could tear the door down.

I slowly turned around to look at the door, frightened by what may be on the other side. I then hear another loud bang on the door. I felt my heart race. I quickly swirled around and sprinted to the hall closet, placed in the back of the house, the room farthest away from the front door.

Once I was in, I pushed my way past all of the jackets and coats, to get to the wall on the other side. After doing this I pulled all of the coats and jackets on top of me to camouflage myself. It wasn't the brightest idea.

From the front of the house I could hear, wood breaking and the door falling. I heard several pairs of heavy footsteps enter my house. And thanks to my wolf, I could smell about 5 different scents, some closer to me than others. However they were all werewolves.

" Are you sure this is the house," I heard one of the intruders speak. It was a male his voice was deep and a little bit intimidating.

" This has to be it, I can smell her," another one replied this one also a male.

I heard footsteps right outside of the closet door. I held my breath.

" Yeah this is it, I think I found it.", a third one spoke, this one a female.

I heard the doorknob turn.

" She's not an it." The male who first spoke, said irritated.

The closet door opened, allowing artificial light to flow into the room. A female figure stood at the door frame, with a large bat in her hand. Judging by the way she looked down at me, one can assume that my camouflage idea wasn't successful.

" IT is to me." The female said putting an emphasis on the word it, before swinging the bat in my direction.

Then it all went black.
