Are You Hibernating to Heal?

Isolation. Hiding. Protecting. All interchangeable works when it comes to healing from hurt. The act of removing yourself so fully from a situation that you go deep into self-protection is innate. We learn how to curl into ourselves in order to lick our wounds and rebuild our confidence. But when you have been hibernating too long, healing becomes a hindrance.

There is a very specific spot where you have healed but you feel hesitant to emerge back out into your world. This moment requires you to be courageous. It demands you show up for yourself. At this exact moment, everything in your mind will tell you to stay put and stay "safe" because it's more comfortable to be in your state of hibernation than it is to experience living.

But just remember, safety doesn't exist in stagnation so you must find a way to move past hibernation and back out into the wonderful worth of air, light and movement.
