"Too late to realize that we can't be"

The light creeping in through a fault in the curtains stung painfully in Tin's eyes. Although when he opened his eyes, his head felt extremely heavy, his chest was light. That bothered him. He didn't feel the warmth he is used to. The heaviness in his chest he woke up to every morning was not there. So he woke up to look around, Gun was nowhere in the room.

Tin let out a painful groan as his head ached a bit. The alcohol he had recklessly gulped down yesterday was onto taking it's revenge. But Tin didn't care. After all, when the events of last night played in his head, he felt incredibly happy. As if in just a span of a day, he stood on the top of world's happiness scale.

In the bedside table, Tin's eyes fell onto antray with a note attached to it. A glass of lemon water and hangover soup served neatly in the bowl. A the note on the side read Have some soup and drink, take a bath and go home. Don't wait for me.

Although a bit disappointed that they didn't get to share the morning together, Tin didn't question Gun in any way. He convinced himself that Gun must have something urgent come up to himself. Obediently he drank the soup prepared by Gun and took a shower. A smile constant in his face, that radiated the happiness in his heart. He took a quick look around Gun's room, then he smiled sheepishly again. This room will always be special to him now. Then, after a while he went back to his home, anticipating to spend the day with Gun, when he returns.

However, Gun, he didn't return.

"Ma'am. Mr Wongwittaya is here to meet you." A house that was adorned with grandness no second to any royal palace, in a private office that was a bit too spacious, Mrs Potjanee was informed of a certain someone's arrival by her secretary. The ink she was writing with immediately deviated and her face formed a crease. "Let him in" straightening her back, she put away her work for this meeting

Gun entered the room and stood in front of her, politely bowing as a greeting. Mrs Potjanee however didn't share any pleasantries. She immediately let out a harsh tone making Gun flinch a bit "What are you here for?" She folded her arms and crossed her legs. A stern expression adorned her beautiful face as she waited for answer.

After a moment of hesitation, Gun finally regained his composure and with the same calm and cool demeanor, he raised his head to meet Mrs Potjanee in the eyes. His lips shook a bit, however he was able to keep his voice calm and firm "I wasn't able to keep my promise"

Bang! Mrs Potjanee immediately banged the table with her tight hands. Gun however didn't falter. He kept on continuing. "Just like how you predicted, I failed. I gave in. And now, in order to make amends for the broken promise, I am here in front of you. I will accept any punishment you give to me." Again, Gun politely bowed his head to a completely agitated Mrs Potjanee

"Disgusting! Incredibly disgusting! Don't you feel disgusted with yourself!" Mrs Potjanee frantically shouted. Her once composed demeanor now lost as she approached Gun in rage and a tight slap landed in his face. "This is why I could never trust you! You're nothing but a filthy, dirty leech! You dare try to covet a place that can never be yours! How dare you even lay a finger with my son!" She grabbed his collar and shook him violently

"You're nothing but a lowly bastard! Yet you dare be close to my son! I had tolerated it all, just because you promised you won't let anything I fear happen! But now you come to me with a stupid apology!" She shouted in his face. Her tone was horrendous and she yanked him off. Gun stumbled backwards. His face now red and his eyes brimming with tears.

Mrs Potjanee scoffed at his face "Crying? Are you crying? After ruining my son's life, are you crying? You jerk! I should've never let you close! Never have given in! You're nothing but a filthy bastard! A cunning slut like your mother!" Her screams were truly itching in Gun's ears. His heart beat in complete fear. And again she charged at him completely furious, aiming for another attack

"Honey!" Immediately Mr Tul came rushing inside. He was startled by his wife's screams and cries when he was passing by. When he came in, he found her completely tearing off Gun who didn't show any resistance to her violence. Her secretary stood at a far corner of the room, with his lips tightly pursed and his fist tightened while his eyes were completely blank. Tul shot him a quick glare before restraining his wife who was aggressively charging at Gun.

"Let me go! I'm gonna slap the senses out of him! How dare he! It's because of him! All because of him! My son turned out that way all because of him!" Mrs Potjanee shouted as she struggled in her husband's arms. She was so strong that Mr Tul was barely holding her up.

"Darling calm down! Don't do this! This is not something you must do!" Mr Tul tried to calm her down but Mrs Potjanee didn't want to listen.

"I must! I must! So that my son can become normal! So that my son can be happy! Marry and have children! Make a family! Continue our family line! He must give our business an heir!" She frantically shouted as she pointed at Gun. "And this bastard! He's trying to ruin it all!" She fled from Tul's arms and grabbed Gun's arms, digging her long nails into flesh, making Gun wince in pain.

"Gun..... Please go away! Get out from Tin's life! Can't you see? You're ruining it all for him! You're a man! You can't give him kids! You can't give him a family! You're ruining his future and his happiness!"  She joined her hands and kneeled in front of him. "Gun.... Tin needs a family, he must have a wife and kids. If he doesn't, our family line will end, I will have no descendants. our company will fall into chaos, he'll be ruined, his future will fall. What will the society think! What will I answer when they ask!? He doesn't like men! It's all because of you! It's because of you that he became this way!" Her voice shook as she completely bent down in a bow.

Gun stood there sobbing. He couldn't hear, he couldn't watch what was happening. His heart was completely engulfed in fear in what was about to come. "Get out of his life.... For Tin's greater sake! He'll be much more happier without you, he'll marry a woman, call her his wife, have kids with her and carry onto our family line. Don't ruin the bright future he had. Don't take his happiness away from him."

Mr Tul was completely taken aback. He was flabbergasted by his wife's words. Much more than that disgusted. "Potjanee! What do you think you're doing!" He shouted as he tried to lift her up from the ground. He frantically looked back at Gun and his dropped when he saw those firm eyes now shining red. No! This child is about to-  "Gun.... Don't listen to her.... She's just-"

"I'm sorry....." Gun let out a soft whisper as he hung his head down low. Mr Tul felt a hurricane building up. His heart felt unsettled. He knew what Gun has now decided. "I'm sorry Ma'am, Sir. I never meant to ruin Tin's life. I have always tried the best for him and remained his best friend. However, in impulse, I gave in to him .I'm used to being what he wants me to be. He's my best friend and I love him with all my heart. However if my presence ruins his life so much, I'll leave"

Mrs Potjanee immediately lifted her head and her face now lit up in a smile. "You will?" She asked happily. Gun closed his eyes tightly and nodded. Mrs Potjanee immediately stood up and started laughing heartily "I know you're smart Gun. You always think the best for Tin. Don't worry! I'll arrange everything for you and make sure Tin never gets to you. Okay? You can start preparing! I'll make arrangements immediately" she happily went on to instruct her secretary. "Karn.... Make sure Gun can leave comfortably by today"

Mr Tul warily looked at Gun. Gun momentarily met his eyes and gave him a sad smile. Mr Tul simply shook his head. He knew whatever he says now will not change Gun's mind. He let the fate play it's game. Soon after a while, Gun left while being instructed by Mrs Potjanee's secretary Mr Karn.

Potjanee walked to her office mirror and patted back the make up in her face. Her husband stared at her every movement. When she felt his eyes on her, she turned back to walk to him and pull him her embrace "Darling.... You love me right?" Her eyes shone as she caressed her husband's face "Make sure Tin doesn't know about this"
