Why does it have to be you?

When Tin reached to his mother's office, he saw someone else was already there. Mr Tul was taken aback to see her as well. He hadn't seen her for more than two decades after all.

"I'm asking you for the last time! Where is Gun?!" She shouted as she banged both her hands on the table. Potjanee acted as if she didn't see her at all. She simply ignored her as if she was air and quietly continued working on her desk.

"Mom!" Tin shouted as he entered the room. Mrs Potjanee finally lifted her face in complete awe. Tin has never called her mom. She immediately got up her seat as Tin approached them. However to her awful surprise, Tin went on to hug Ratchanee instead "Mom!" He called as he latched onto her

"Tin.... Don't worry it's okay! Mom will find  out where Gun is no matter what!" She said shooting Potjanee a glare. "Now speak Potjanee, where is my son?!"

Potjanee's momentary glee was now replaced with a firm frown. She scoffed and immediately looked away. "I don't know." It was Tin who now shouted "I know everything Mrs Potjanee! Tell me where is Gun!" He said impatiently as he pried into her eyes. "Even if you don't tell me, I will find him away way!"

"You will not do that!" Mrs Potjanee instantly fired back "Can't you see Tin! He's ruining your life and the bright future you have. Not different than his mother right here!"

"You do not talk about him like that! Mrs Potjanee, the one who is ruining my life is you! No one else!" Tin's accusation must've hit her a quite a bit. Mrs Potjanee turned to look at him in disbelief "Ruin your life! Me? Tin! Your life was given by me! And Gun! He's incapable of giving any lives! He won't give you kids!"

"What's the use of having kids if they're going to be treated like me? Rather have no kids at all!" Tin shouted back. He couldn't believe his mother could be so narrow minded. Mrs Potjanee's eyes faltered a bit. And she slumped back into her seat. Now with a calm and collected expression she looked at the three people standing before her before her eyes fixated at Tin

"Look Tin.... I did it for you. For your happiness. For your future. Don't you know? You're a man. Gun is a man. A man can't be with a man. A man must be with a woman. With a woman you can marry and have kids. Then only can you be happy!" She said looking straight into Tin's eyes "Tin... Gun cannot make you happy. He cannot give you a future that you dream of! He will ruin our family's reputation "

"There is no future I dream of like you tell me! You just want me to live like however you want me! But Mrs Potjanee, I'm not your puppet. I am capable of thinking and feeling independently! And in the future I dreamt for myself, it has Gun in it. And without him, I will not carve any future for me!" Tin was now nearly in tears. For once he had hoped his mother would think of him. But all she thinks of is her own selfish needs.

"So is that it! Is that the reason you solely ruin our kids! Tell me! Where do you get all that stupidity from! Did all these years wear out all the conscience in you!" Mrs Ratchanee shouted at the completely oblivious Potjanee who still sat with a smug look "Don't test my patience! Tell me immediately where you sent my son to!"

"To his father!" Mrs Potjanee smirked evilly. "You hear me! He's gone to live with his father!" Everyone was taken aback in the room.
Gun never had a father. Mrs Ratchanee could vaguely remember the man who had her impregnated. In the end, she raised Gun alone. Even she herself didn't know who he was.... How could Potjanee know?

"Well, I sent him to his long lost father. For them to live together forever. Happily and quietly. Tell me. I actually did good didn't I? Reunited a father and son after such a long time. I actually felt guilty keeping them away from eachother for a long time."
