capítulo nueve

She asked me what was going on with me, but I couldn't give her an answer.

I was washing the car at the moment when I saw Nick standing on the stairs.

I looked at him while he said: „From racer to car washer." I answered: „And I'm starting as a waitress tomorrow."

He took a cigarette in his mouth and asked me: „You want one?"

I answered: „You know you shouldn't kill your last brain cell."

He tried waking down to be but I stopped him by turning the tube towards him: „Hey! No, we agreed you wouldn't come near me. Remember?" He put his hands up in defeat and smiled.

I kept talked: „But you may look at me." I turned the tube towards myself and made my dress completely wet so he could see a hint of my underwear.

I asked him: „Tequila?" He laughed at that comment, and he looked so good while doing it.

I kept making myself wet as Nick bit his lips.

Suddenly my mom drove up and asked: „Hey, Sweetie. Why are you washing that old thing." I looked at Nick and saw him quickly walking away.

My mom told me she has a surprise and I through she meant the car, but then Dan stepped out of the car.

I asked him what he was doing here.

He looked at my wet body and I instantly felt uncomfortable. I told them: „I need to finish washing the car."

My mom walked Dan in the house and looked back at me curiously.

I walked up to Nick: „Nick we have a problem." He answered: „You're the one getting close."

He walked away and I followed him: „No, you see. My boyfriend is... ex-boyfriend is here."

He turned around to me: „You're the one with the problem then, not me." I said: „I sent him the photo of us kissing on your car."

He walked unter the brauch umbrella: „Oh right. That photo. Right. What about it?"

„Well if he knows it's you, than he'll tell my mother." I heard Dan's voice calling me: „Rowan!"

I pulled the beach umbrella down to hide Nick's face and turned around. Dan saw me and tried walking through a few people.

Nick meanwhile pulled the umbrella up again, so I pushed him into the pool.

As Dan got closer I tried walking away: „I can't believe you had the cheek to come here." Dan said: „I came in person to say I'm sorry."

I turned around: „Sorry?" Nick walked between us to grap a towel and winked at me: „Sorry"

Dan talked while I was walking away again: „Betty didn't mean anything to me, I swear. I was missing you and she reminded me of you."

I turned around again: „You remind me of an orangutan, and yet I didn't go and make out with one."

He replied: „Rowan, I know. Sure I know I acted like a big jerk. I deserve everything that's coming to me."

Nick jumped into the weather making Dan wet from head to toe. He shouted: „Sorry man."

I spoke to Dan: „Just pack your bags and leave today, okay?" He answered: „I get I okay, but no more flights until tomorrow."

I said: „Man, you are such a asshole, Dan."

I bent down to Nickolas who was in the pool: „Are you crazy?" He answered: „It was funny right."

i just said no when he took my hand and pulled me into the pool. I swam up between hoops and slapped Nick: „You asshole."

He laughed at me, grapped my waist and pulled me between the pool wall and him. I asked him: „What are you doing?"

With his hand he wandered over my body until they were at my waist again. Then he finally kissed me. We pulled away as he wrapped my legs around his waist und put his hands on my thighs.

I said: „Of one of our parents catches us, it'll be game over. Is that what you want?" He replied: „No, and you?" „Me neither"

We pulled each other again in a make out session and he wrapped his hands around my waist while pushing me against the pool wall.

We pulled away when we heard my mother calling for Nicholas. He split pool water in my mouth, and then he got out.

While I was still in the pool Dan came up to me and confronted: „Hey, is that the guy from the photo?"

I just looked at him.

I was at my balcony, drying my hair, when my mom suddenly stood before me with flowers.

She asked me if anything was going on with Dan, or if I had a new one.

After she left I looked at the note that came with the flowers. There stood „You're going to pay for what you did"

I looked up and looked at the flowers confused.

I walked down and showed the flowers to Dan: „What are you trying to do with this?"

„That's not mine."

I said: „Come on, please." He answered: „I'm persistent, but not violent." I asked him if it was Betty and he told me to forget about her.

Nick came into the room, and Dan asked: „Does your mom suspects any of this?"

I looked at him: „I don't know what you're talking about." „Mmh Sure. Let's go for a drink tonight and talk about us."

Nick moved past us: „Mallows? Who would send a girl Mallows?" Dan looked after him pissed.
