We got off our raft the next day and started heading towards our destination. "According to my map, we're halfway there," I say. "Halfway?!" Sonic exclaimed. "Apparently," I say, exhausted.
"So, what do you want to do to for fun?" Sonic asked. I look at him suspiciously. "N-not like that!" he panicked. "I know what you meant. I was just teasing you," I say, giggling.
Then, Sonic got a smirk on his face. "Hey, lace your fingers," he said. "Okay?" I say. That came right out of the blue. "Then, lift one side of fingers," he instructed. Right after I did that, he grabbed my hands, lifted them, and pushed me to a tree, causing me to let out a little gasp.
Sonic leaned in and kissed me. Of course I kissed back. "Really?All that dramatic stuff for just a kiss?" I ask. "Yep." "You dork!"
|Time skip to night|
Sonic and I were sitting on the beach, my head on his shoulder while his was on mine. "Hey, Lyria? What's it like being a famous pop star?" he asked. "It's okay. Sometimes I just wish I didn't always get the spotlight," I sigh, looking at the ocean.
"How come? The spotlight is the best place to be," Sonic said. "I think it's okay, but it can be quite difficult to just get some me time without the paparazzi and reporters bothering me," I say getting up.
"Where are you going?" Sonic asked. "Following the map. We have to go through the Crystal Cave at night or else we won't be able to see our friends again," I say, grabbing my backpack and hoisting it on.
"Alright," Sonic said, getting up and putting his backpack on as well. I start walking through the dark forest until I met the entrance of the cave. "C'mon, we have to find our friends," I say, entering the cave with Sonic.
"Man, it's really dark in here," Sonic says. "Then we need to light it up. Legend says that the crystals can light up by a pleasing sound," I say. "How'd you know that?" he asks. "I read it in a book," I say. "Oh."
"It also has to be a song from the heart, but that's impossible. I have to be able to know what I'm singing without knowing what the lyrics are going to be," I worry.
"Hey, anything is possible when you're here, Lyria," Sonic said, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder. I look up at him and smile. "Thanks, Sonic," I say.
"Well? Are you going to do your thing or what?" he asked. "Yes. Well, here it goes," I say.

Suddenly, the crystals glow to the beat of the music coming out of nowhere.

Suddenly, the crystals in the cave started to light up to the beat of my song. Sonic and I looked at them in awe as I kept singing.

When I finished, the first thing that happened was the feeling of Sonic's lips on mine. "What, Sonniku? You liked the song?" I asked, grinning. "Liked it? I LOVED it! A-and that high note was just... wow!" Sonic exclaimed, astonished.
"Thank you, Sonniku," I say as we walk out the cave holding hands. We was all laughs and giggles when we realized our next path; a MOUNTAIN! "You've got to be kidding me," Sonic and I say in unison.
"Welp, I guess we have no choice," I sigh as I start to tramp to the trail.
