After a long day of walking, we hit a fork in the path. "Alright, then, we go left, according to Gale," I say. "Uh Lyria, right is the faster way," Sonic says. "But it's the most dangerous," I say. "So what?" he says. "So what? So what?! We could die! And if we die, our friends will die and Eggman will win!" I retort. "We won't die because we both have useful powers!" Sonic argues.
"SONIC, YOU'RE NOT LISTENING! WE SHOULD TRUST THE ELEMENTS!" I yell. Dark clouds started forming above us, thunder rumbling. "BUT I KNOW THIS WAY WILL GET US TO OUR FRIENDS FASTER!" he yells back.
"I DON'T CARE. LIFE CONTAINS PATIENCE AND IF YOU DON'T, MAYBE YOU SHOULD JUST SLOW DOWN AND ENJOY THE WORLD! BUT NOO! ALL YOU WANT IS TO GO FAST AND BE EGOTISTICAL!" I holler, my ears pinning back and my body glowing an evil ink black.
Suddenly, lightning strikes between us, cracking the ground below us. The wind starts to pick up and rain starts pouring down. Sonic backs away, threatened by my own powers. "MAYBE YOU SHOULD JUST SETTLE DOWN AND THINK FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE!" I shout angrily.
I stomp away, sparks of lightning appearing at my feet as my tramping feet marched me away from Sonic. "Lyria..." I hear Sonic say, but I don't turn back. "C'mon, Gale. We're going," I say sternly. Gale hesitates before fluttering onto my shoulder.
|Sonic's POV|
"Lyria..." I say, reaching out to her, but she turned back. That outburst was quite terrifying. But for now, I have to get to my friends. I turn around and run up the path, eventually making it to the top. I see a cave and see my friends in there.
"Sonic!" Tails exclaims before running over to me and crushing me with a hug. "Hey, lil' bud," "Thanks goodness you're here... wait... where's Lyria?" Niff asked. My happy expression turned to sadness.
"We split up..." I say. "What?! Why?" Amy asserted. "We got in a fight over which path to take since there was a fork in the road. And then, she made some points and then she king control. When she lost her temper, it suddenly started storming and her body turned ink black," I explain.
"So that's why it suddenly started raining," Sticks said. "Uh, guys? Who's that floating over there?" Knuckles asked. "I don't know," Tails said, pulling out his binoculars. "Lemme see those," I say, gently taking the binoculars from Tails.
As I adjust the vision of Tails' binoculars, I can see the ink black glowing Lyria in the sky. "It's... Lyria," I say. Everyone gasps in shock. "Sonic, look above her," Tails says in a shaky voice.
