|2 weeks later|
After a while, it was time for me to return home. I pack up my bags and shrink my motorbike so it can fit in my luggage. I glance down at my train ticket sadly. I grab my suitcase and leave Sonic's shack, heading to the train station.
When I arrive there, I see Sonic, my new friends, and my band with their luggage there too. "I will miss you all when we're gone," I say, walking up to the group. "And we will never forget about you, Lyria. After all, you nearly killed yourself to save the wellbeing of the entire island. We will miss you and your band," Amy says, giving me a tight hug.
We all exchange hugs and goodbyes. As my band mates board the train, my rose eyes meet a pair of emerald eyes. "I'm going to miss you so much, Sonic. I wish you can go with me," I say. "I know, but someone's gotta keep Egghead from destroying the island," he says. "The next time you go for a run and feel the wind flowing through your quills, that's me," he adds. "B-but how will I know if you're going to be okay?" I ask, tearfully. Sonic's eyes fill with tears and he engulfs me in a huge hug. "You saved me Lyria. I'll be okay," he says, pulling away.
Tears fall down my muzzle when we share our last kiss. "Bye, Sonic. I'll try to call you as soon as I can," I say, boarding the train. "I'll be back soon," I say, taking Sonic's hand. Suddenly, it's starts to rain. Then train starts to pull away. Once our hands leave, Sonic runs along the train, which was starting to go through a tunnel. "Go, Lyria, go! Wahoo!" He cheers. Then, I lose sight of him.
Tears are now flowing down my muzzle, the thought of not seeing him for a while saddening me. But I catch a glimpse at Amy's home, and smile, thinking of the first time I met Sonic and the others.
