I walked along the tracks leading to terminus. Carl and I went back and forth squeezing each other's hand. My dad called me from the front. I looked at Carl.

"You should just stay here" I said
"Okay" he let go of my hand and I jogged up to the front. I lined up with my dad.

"so what's up with you and Carl?"

My went as red as a tomato, I swear. What was I going to say? Oh yeah, he's my boyfriend and kissed him like three times already today when you weren't looking.

"Um... We're just really close" I looked up at the sky. It was getting dark.
"It's getting dark. We should find somewhere to crash." I said, quickly changing the subject.

"Yeah" he agreed "you can get back to your boyfriend" he said 'boyfriend' very much like a 6 year old. My face really went red that time. I stopped and waited for Carl to catch up. I grabbed his hand walked with him again.

"What did he have to say?" Carl asked.
"he asked about us" I said. his eyes went wide.
"w-what did you say?" he asked. his face so pale I almost didn't recognize him and thought I lost that tan boy I've fallen for.
"I just said we were close, Carl" I squeezed his hand and smiled.

"yeah" Sam said, walking on the other side of me "my dad like you. he'd be fine with you two dating. I know I am"
"oh thank you for the approval, sister" I said. we both flashed our identical laughs and smiles.
"you guys have the exact same laugh and smile" Carl said in an adoring voice.
"ever since we were little" Sam said.

We walked a while and found a tall tower made of grey cement we could stay in. I saw feet popping out of the side and decided to check it out. I grabbed my knife and slowly walked over. only when I peered over the edge of the tower, a dead walker laid there with it stomach cut open. I held my hand up to my nose to cover the stench. didn't do to much. I looked up at wall and almost screamed.

PRISON GROUP, GO TO TERMINUS
-GLENN

was written in brown walker blood on the wall. I touched the blood. A little came off on my finger. it was fresh.

"Rick" I called out. "Glenn left a note here in walker blood. Like Maggie and Sasha and bob. It's still wet. We should keep walking. I'm sure we could find them." He came around the little building. He touched the blood.
"Yes, it is fresh. But it is not safe to be walking at night. We know they are still alive and heading to terminus. We will find them." He said, resting a hand on my shoulder. I shook him off.
"Rick, what if they don't make it back?"
"They will" he said "you should get to sleep. We have to start walking early tomorrow." I rolled my eyes and walked over to the group. They had a fire in the middle. Carl looked over and held out his hand. I walked over and sat next to him. I rested my head on his shoulder. He put his arm around my waist. God, I felt so goddamn safe. Wait, can you even say that? Say something to God then goddamn it? Whatever. I had a weird feeling about this terminus place. Was it really safe?  Could we trust everyone else there? Well beth, who was basically my sister, is out there and possibly there. I closed my eyes and thought of Judith. I loved her as much as carl and my vision slowly went black as sleep slowly engulfed me into its beauty.

Carls POV

I looked at Rayne as she fell as she fell asleep. I put my cold hand into my pocket and felt something. I pulled out a folded piece of paper, a couple actually, each had a different texture. Rayne's eyes shot open. Sweat beaded on her forehead. Tears started streaming down her face.

"Hey, calm down R. It's just a dream. Just a dream." I said. This has been happening almost every night now. It was always the prison. she's been having nightmares about the prison and the governor and Herschel for a while.
"I gonna... step out for a second" she said. I don't like her leaving on her own but I know she needed it. Sam got up and tried to follow her.
