I woke up in the truck with Carl's arm wrapped around my waist. I turned around and saw his blue eyes looking back at mine.
"Good morning beautiful." He said and laughed. I kissed him. I loved being able to do that without it being akward. He smiled with his eyes closed.
"I love you so much" he said. I didn't know what to say. I nodded and got out of the car. Sam was sitting with dad and Emily. Talking, laughing, while I was standing here when a boy I loved so much told me he loved me and I didn't say anything. Sam saw me standing there and I had no choice but to move myself from this spot. I sat down next to her.

"what's up?" she asked me.
"c-Carl told me he loved me" I whispered.
"did you say it back?" she asked. I shook my head no.
"I-I mean I do love him but I didn't know what to say" I whispered.
"it's okay" she whispered "you'll be able to say it back soon"
"thanks sister" I said and leaned into her. she side hugged me and we both smiled. Carl came and sat down next to me.

"hey" he said.
"hey" I said back. he took me from Sam and greatly leaned into him.

"we're gonna have to get going" Rick said. standing above us all. "do you all have your stuff?" we all nodded. he stomped on the fire to set it out. "let's roll gang"

I got up and laughed at Rick. we walked along the road with Sam on my left and Carl holding my right hand.

"I wonder where the others are" I said, breaking the silence.
"I'm sure we will find them" Carl said.
"yeah" Sam said. "everyone back at the prison was super duper strong" I laughed. sometimes my twin sister could be like having a younger sister. but I loved her.

Rick lead us into the woods where the tracks were. we followed them and it felt like we were walking for days. only having a little fun when there were walkers we had to kill.

we walked and walked and walked and walked and walked then we came across a sign.

"community for all. sanctuary for all. those who arrive, survive" I read aloud to the group. underneath the quote was a map. all the train tracks were traced in red marker to one big star in the middle. I knew it as the Atlanta train station and hotel. it was run down years before the apocalypse, but it would make good base. we all made eye contact and nodded.

just keep walking.
