The Stolen Journal Chapter 1

He looked at me like he was trying to figure me out. I was a bit freaked out. By now Kaylee had stopped laughing and she was now staring at me with big eyes saying 'Don't screw it up'. I laughed and this guy gave me an even more confusing look. This year is going to be kick-ass.

Might I add he was so hot and sexy? I wonder if he is single. Stop it Arabella you're jumping to conclusions. "Hi, I'm Julian" he said offering a helping hand out. I took it with pleasure and stood up. " Thanks, I'm Arabella" I said smiling and rolling on my ankles.

"That's a pretty name, you must be new here so let me show you to your class." He said with a little bit of hope in his voice. I knew it. He was new. That's when the laughter comes bursting out from Kaylee standing a few metres away from us. I watched her laugh trying not to laugh myself. I haven't been this happening in months. "It's ok, I'm not new"

That when Julian look more confused than ever. "Oh right. I took a few months off because of...umm.. some........ family issues" I said adding it in with a sigh following it.

"Oh ok, that's it? No more details?" he asked curiously. Kaylee stopped laughing and gave a serious look. I looked down with Julian's grin is fading. "I'd rather not talk about it" I muttered and walked away. How stupid. I actually like him. Well so far just his looks but maybe I'll get to know him better soon hopefully. He actually made me feel happy besides Kaylee. Not even Havana could do that.

Kaylee caught up to me. "Why did you ditch him? It's not his fault that he doesn't know what happened" she told me. The whole school knew because the whole school was at the party too. "I just lost it, I guess" I muttered quietly feeling bad. She gave me the 'sure' nod but I ignored it. All of a sudden I was happy and now I feel like crap.

"Arabella!!" Havana screamed. I turned around and there she was pulling me into a massive hug. "How are you? I've missed you!! I heard you turned a guy down already, is it true?" she said coming out with all these questions. Wow is that what the school is saying. Me turning down Julian when he didn't even ask me for anything to turn down? Geez. I chuckled "I'm fine Annie, I missed you so much and what the heck! I haven't been asked out by a guy!" I say a bit too loudly because the whole corridor turned and looked at us. Kaylee was trying not to laugh but she managed to cough up her laugh into her hand. I rolled my eyes. Havana just burst into laughter. "Wow rumours spread fast" she said trying not laugh. I rolled my eyes.

"Come on Belle, we're going to be late for class" Kaylee said coming towards me. I smiled and quickly turned back to my locker and pulled my stuff out.

It turned out the Havana and I had 1st and 2nd period together, then in 3rd and 4th I was with Kaylee and 5th and 6th we were all together. I liked my schedule because at least I had a friend at all times. We had art and math first up. Eww! I hate math. I tried my best to keep my mind of the family and I was doing well. It had been 3 months. It's about time I get back to living a life. It's what my parents would want. Wouldn't they?

It also happened to be that luck was on my side. Julian was in all of my classes except for 3rd and 5th. It didn't seem that he was sad or hurt he just seemed as if he want to talk to me. I was daydreaming in math class as usual and I noticed that a note was flicked onto my desk. I looked at the direction from where it came from. It was Julian. He sat there smiling and staring at the note as if to say 'Open the damn thing'. I nodded my head and leaned back in my chair too read the note.

I'm really sorry about this morning; I didn't mean to offend you. Wanna hang out after school?

I just smiled and nodded. He has been such a great help without knowing it with me forgetting about myself and having fun. I haven't been this happy in a long time.
