The Stolen Journal ~ Chapter 9

"Who are you?" we both asked at the same time. He gave a chuckle. I was now worried. Was this some sort of prank?

"I'm James" he said smiling holding his hand out waiting for me to take it and shake it. I slowly put my hand in his hand and shook it.

"I'm Arabella and I was looking for Julian, sorry" I said looking around. He just laughed again.

"Don't worry about it Arabella, I'm Julian's twin brother. He probably didn't tell you that he had a brother

did he?" he asked.

"I- well my mum used to be good friends with Lynette and I knew she had two sons but I never met them but I just found out that your mum is Lynette and yeah it's confusing" I explained to him with a sigh.

"Haha well I look forward to hearing the story. You're mum was Michelle right? Well I'm sure we'll get to talk sometime soon so I'll let you go in. Julian's in the shower so make yourself at home." He said holding the door open.

"Ta" I replied smiling. "Wait are you staying?" I asked. I sort of wanted him to say yes because I didn't want to be alone waiting for Julian to come out of the shower.

"Nah I'm going to the hospital to see my mum." He said shrugging.

"Oh ok. Tell her I said hi and wish her the best." I replied smiling. He nodded and walked down the steps. I waved him goodbye and headed into the house. I found my way to the living room easily and plopped down on the floor.

I was watching the 7PM Project when I heard the shower turn of. I quickly sat up a little straighter and turned my attention back to the TV. Seconds later I heard a scream. I turned around to expecting to Julian standing there. Instead it was Willow. In nothing but a towel.

"Arabella? What are you doing here?" she asked shocked. Crap where is Julian.

"Umm I'm here for Julian. We were having a movie night. Do you know where he is?" I asked embraced.

She smiled "He went to pick up take out. He said a girl was coming over but I didn't expect it to be you" she said still smiling. "So you met James? He left without me didn't he?" she said shaking her head. I just nodded.

"He told me Julian was in the shower and told me to wait in here." I said gesturing the room around me.

She just shook her head. "Stupid boys. He was messing with us. He knew I would come out in nothing but a towel." She said shaking her head.

"Wow what a jerk" I said smiling still. She just nodded and walked back down the hall to her room.

Once she was dressed she grabbed her phone and started texting away. "I'm leaving in about 5 minutes. Will you be ok here alone?" she asked.

I did want to say 'Please Stay I don't want to be left alone' but instead I replied, "Sure I'll be fine."

That five minutes went quicker then I wanted and the next thing I knew I was in the house all by myself. It felt weird because when Julian gets home I'm going to look like a stalker.

I don't know when but I heard a car pull up. I quickly ran to the front door and opened it to find Julian standing there with 2 plastic bags in each hand. "Hey Arabella, so sorry that im late, the takeout place was packed and they forgot our order." He said frowning slightly. He was only 27 minutes late to our set time.

"No worries, James let me in. Then I was talking with Willow but she left and yeah.." I said looking down embarrassed.

We walked inside and went into the kitchen. He pulled out all the containers. There were so many. "I didn't know what you liked so I got a bit of everything," he said running a hand through his hair.

I laughed. "Thank you, this is great. Wanna go pick a movie now?" I asked.

He nodded so we went into the living room and started going through all his movies. We finally decided on 'Date Night'. We quickly went and grabbed the food and snuggled under some blankets and enjoyed the show.

At the end of the movie I was pressed so close to Julian it probably could as passed as sitting on top of him. I got of him slowly and stood up and offering my hand to help him up.

We put our plates in the sink and went back into the living room. It was still silent and it was peaceful and comfortable. "Thank you for tonight" I whispered not trusting my voice to speak.

He kissed my cheek. "No, thank you" he said chuckling. I put my head in the crook of his next and breathed in his scent.

"What are you thinking?" I asked looking up at him.

He sighed, "Everything I guess. You, my mum, school, life."

"Its funny how we've never crossed paths until just now," I said giggling. "And my brother and you sister are like soulmates." I gushed.

"I know that's just weird."

"Remember the time you took me to that café and we played twenty questions? That was fun" I told him picturing the thought.

He nodded in agreement. "Arabella, I know I've only known you for a few weeks but would you please be mine? "he asked looking down on me.

YES! My mind screamed, say YES! I was so happy he finally asked. A smile came over my face. "You mean as be your girlfriend?" I asked keeping my face unreadable.

"Yes, Would you please be my girlfriend?" he begged holding my hand tightly.

I waited a minute until I finally answered. "I would love to be your girlfriend but please don't hurt me" I answered him smiling slightly. "I can't take anymore damage to my heart, so please just don't hurt me."

"I won't hurt you Arabella" he cooed reassuringly. He kissed my cheek and I closed my eyes and drifted off.
