"How about this? This seems nice." Anti asked, taking a dress from the rack.

"I dunno. I still don't think a dress is gift worthy." Dark admitted.

This week was important to Anti because it was the birthday of his favourite girl in the world, Sam, the daughter of Chase and niece of the glitch himself. He had exactly five days left till the party, but still couldn't decide what to get her.

He couldn't ask his brothers, in case they saw him as an asshole for buying something so late, so he asked Dark to help out instead.

Dark didn't have kids of his own, but he was the primary care taker of Yan and Eric, the youngest of the Ipliers. So if anyone would know what to get a young girl for their birthday, Dark was the closest thing Anti had.

"How old did you say she was turning?"

"Ten."

"Double digits already? How time flies."

"I know, that's why this gift has to be perfect."

Dark smiled at Anti's passion, admiring how much he cared for his niece.

"I suggest we should get something more productive then. Children aren't really fond of receiving clothes anyway."

"Really?" Anti questioned. "I wouldn't mind some clothes, I've been wearing the same black shirt my whole life."

"Really? Your whole life?"

Anti's face went crimson as he realised what he had said, looking up to his friend with embarrassment.

"Tha- that was an exaggeration. I'm clean, I swear!"

"Noted." Dark chuckled. "This way then. It's best to leave now before people suspect us as perverts."

"Why would they think that?" Anti asked.

"Well, we are two grown adults standing in a children's aisle while fawning over what little girls wear."

"And?"

"Do you not know the term pedofile?"

"Like the thing Marvin uses to saw off his toe nails?"

"No that is a pedicure file, a pedofile is someone who takes a sexual interest in children."

"Oh...oh."

"Exactly, so I suggest we move on."

Anti nodded as they speeded towards the exit. It was still early in the mall so Anti wasn't too worried on time, but he was definitely still panicking as every minute went by.

"Alright. Where should we head to next?"

"I think we should stop at the food court and brainstorm over lunch."

"Good idea, Darkimoo. You can't think on an empty stomach."

Dark's face flushed at the name, covering his cheeks as the glitch mindlessly lead him around. He was still fondly new to Brighton, so Anti had to be smart when coming up with ideas and where to find them, if there were even stores available.

The two eventually ended up at the food court, buying two burgers and a pack of chips to share before heading towards a table. Dark couldn't help but roll his eyes as he watched Anti pick his meal apart, setting anything other than bread, meat and cheese to the side.

"You know, you can always ask to have a burger without relish."

"No way." Anti, protested, placing a pickle down. "Imagine being that person. I'd rather pick everything off seed by seed than make someone's job a little harder than it should be."
