IT had been a year since she first joined the society. She always did what she needed, taking out any anomalies that she was instructed to. She doesn't even think she took the time to actually know anyone, but then again no one ever approached her.
That's why her new task shocked her.
"Show around the new recruit?" She asked in a 'you must be joking' tone. "You must be joking" she added.
Miguel just rolled his eyes at the girl, placing his hand on his hip. "He is your age and you haven't talked to any one your whole time here!" He said, the girl almost scoffed. "What's up with you any trying to be my dad?" She groaned. Maybe it was just an instinct for him, but Alyssa didn't see it like that. What if he was just showing her some pity. She hated pity. "I'm not trying to be your dad but you've been her for a year Alyssa, a year" "and?" "Name one person you know here" "Lyla" "a real person"
A silence came over the two, proving Miguel's point. "It's final Alyssa" he said before going back to his platform. The girl groaned as she walked out of his office.
People arranging stuff for her was something she hated no matter the occasion. Meeting new people was not her thing. People were not her thing. They are nosey and Alyssa was a mystery, everyone likes mysteries.
She had waited in the lobby for a while. Miguel said the new recruit was named Hobie Brown and 'she'd know him when she saw him' whatever that means. Though she figured out what he meant quickly when the familiar yellow glow shined from somewhere diagonal from her.
She turned her head towards the now closing portal seeing a tall man. He had wicks, a guitar around he's back, he had multiple piercing on his face. He wore his suit which consisted of the regular blue and red suit though he had a black jacket on top of it, pins scattered around it. He finished it off with doc martens up to about his knees, a blue string was laced on his right shoe, a yellow on his left.
She had to admit. He was highly attractive, but then again what's a spider-man without his attractiveness.
How would she walk up to him? She didn't know but she had too. She wanted Miguel off her ass and doing what he wants was probably the only thing she could do.
From Hobie's eyes the girl looked like some badass angel. Her hair was behind her back and as she leaned on a wall, she had eyes like a fox and plump red lips covered in lip gloss. The yellow shines of lights bit her face perfectly, giving the girl an Angel look.
She looked like the last thing she wanted was to be there at that moment.
Alyssa started to approach Hobie, grumbling things under her breath that he couldn't make out. "You're the new recruit. Am I right?" She said as she was in front of him, hands in pocket. Hobie was 6'5 and Alyssa was 6'0 so she had to look up a bit. "Famous around here, am I?" The man said jokingly, a strong British accent. "Nope. I was told 'I'd know when I seen you'" the girl said, shrugging off his joke.
"Anyways, going back onto track, follow me" I said as I started walking.
As the two walked Alyssa explained things about the society that was necessary to know. Unbeknownst to her Hobie wasn't focused on majority of what she was actually saying. He was focused on the girl in front of him. The way she acted. She was a serious person, not planning to waste any time even when he threw in jokes.
Anyone else would just think that's how she is, how she was raised. Hobie knew better though, he payed attention to the way her lips slightly curled up at some of his jokes. It was like this girl had a mask to herself, something she was hiding.
She was a mystery..and you know humans. They love answers.

I hoped you enjoyed this chapter even though it was kinda a mess. I had no idea how to make them meet so I did what I knew.
I hope you guys are fine that I did a time skip I just didn't know what else to put.
I do need a site or something to rewatch the movie so if you do know something it would be very helpful if you could let me know.
