"DON'T know what you're talking about" she denied with a shrug as she got back up from the floor and started to swing out the building. Now instead of avoiding him she avoided his questions.
"Porkies, you know exactly what I'm talking 'bout" he said, swinging after her. "I'm not lying you just think I'm lying" she told him as she webbed at the Doc Ock variant, trying to web his arms together so she wouldn't make the same mistake.
"What did I do? Did I say somethin'?" He asked. Alyssa ignored him as she tried to find an opening so she could defeat the Doc Ock. "You gonna ask questions all day or help me?" Alyssa asked as she webbed at more metal tentacles. "Alright fine, squashed for now" he told the girl as he swung the other way.
He landed on a building across from Alyssa and webbed at his other side of arms.
Once the both had a good grip on him they gave each other a look and even through the masks the could feel a sting of connection, telling them exactly what to do.
They pulled down on their webs at the same time, making the Doc Ock slam into the ground below.
They released their webs so that they weren't connected to the wrapped webs around Doc Ock's body as they both jumped down to the ground where the variant lay unconscious.
Alyssa put the shield device thing down, trapping the Doc Ock so he couldn't get out.
"You gonna answer me now?" Hobie said making the girl groan in annoyance as she threw her head back. Alyssa was tired. She had healed herself earlier and still had some cuts that she couldn't heal because of the glass blocking it, making her a bit dizzy from the loss of blood, she didn't have the motivation for Hobie's questions.
"I wasn't avoiding you" she told him, her mouth full of lies as she typed something in her watch. "What was going on then?" He asked with a raised brow. "I was simply distancing myself from you" Alyssa muttered under her breath though Hobie heard it. "So you were avoiding me" he confirmed as he watched the girl avoid his gaze. He watched as a sigh escaped her plump lips, a soft glow from the portal falling on her as she pushed the anomaly into the portal.
"How do you do that" she asked. Her eyes finally meeting his. "Do what?" He asked. "You-" she hesitated, Hobie raised an eyebrow as if to tell her to keep going. "No, never mind" she said in almost a whisper as she walked into the portal. That just left him curious. Now he needed to know.
