Lavra's stomach started to rumble. She always got hungry quickly, but today she knew that lunchtime would soon start!
I should ask Terri to eat with me! Lavra thought, But, still, the camp, huh... should I bring Cyndaquil? Well, Cyndaquil still isn't really good with me. Its heart is still closed... hmmmm...
With all the thoughts swirling around her head, Lavra quickly stopped paying attention to the lecture.
Ding-dong-dong-ding!
The bell finally rang! IT'S LUNCHTIME!
OK, it's now or never! Lavra nodded as she turned around.
"Wanna have lunch together?" Lavra quickly asked so as not to lose the chance she had.
Terri was reading a book, seemingly during the entire class time. She was about halfway through. Seems like she wasn't paying attention, either!
"Uh, I guess so, sure." Terri replied and reached for her lunch in her bag.
Lavra guessed that Terri was still getting used to her unbounded energy. Even then, Terri made effort to be nice to Lavra, which was a first. Usually people would just ignore her or laugh. This made Lavra ecstatic.
"YES!" She pumped her fists up in the air as the class laughed.
Lavra quickly glared, which shut the stupid laughs up. But Terri was terrified, it seemed.
"Hey, Terri, let's go to my favorite place to eat!" Lavra proposed this idea.
Without another word, the two left the classroom of bullies and walked up stairs upon stairs to get to the roof. Even though it was off-limits, Lavra didn't care. After all, it's better to sit alone than sitting in a classroom where she knew nobody liked her. They sat beside the railing near the back of the roof.
The two of them opened their lunchboxes at the same time. Lavra's had octopus wieners, tamagoyaki and apple rabbits. There was, of course, rice. Lavra glanced at Terri's, which was pork cutlets, vegetables, and also... rice!
"Are you excited for this camp?" Again, Lavra broke the silence, which she didn't mind.
Terri nodded, "especially since Mom is hosting it."
Lavra's eyes widened. "So Professor Pine is your mom?! I thought the last name was familiar."
Terri, once again, nodded.
"So, when did your mom agree to host a school camp?" Lavra tilted her head.
"About a month ago, I think. She's been talking about it for a while now." Terri admitted while taking a bite out of one of her pork cutlets.
Talking while eating...! Lavra did that all the time!
Wait, wait. That's not what's important now.
"Ah, that makes sense now, and you get to bring your own Pokémon? That sounds amazing! Except... THAT'S SUCH A TOUGH CHOICE!" Lavra put her hands to her head and ruffled her hair furiously.
Terri seemed to relax a little and smiled.
"Hey! What Pokémon are you bringing?" Lavra stopped her scratching suddenly and asked.
"Probably Jolteon, as usual." Terri said.
"Wow, Jolteon must mean a lot to you!" This comment seemed to make Terri a little offended.
"Of course! I raised Jolteon ever since he hatched from an egg as Eevee. Ever since then, we've been inseparable." Terri interjected.
"Daww, that's so sweet!"
Terri giggled. Was that really that funny?
"What about you?" Terri asked.
Oh god. Even with all that thinking, Lavra still couldn't decide who to bring. She'd still bring other Pokéballs in case there was an emergency, like with what happened to Cyndaquil. But, in the end, it was still a tough choice.
"I really don't know. I've got a lot of choices."
It was at that moment the bell that signals the end of lunch rang.
We talked too long... No lunch... Nah, I'll just eat in class. Problem solved! Lavra smiled, even with a rumbling tummy, as the two quickly got up and ran to class.
