-Hunters POV-
I'm not longer tied up which is great but now we have that amity girl constantly over to watch me or something. I find it stupid, it's not like I can run anywhere my legs fucked! I groaned and looked over to the human and amity, they seemed to be drawing something on paper and it peaked my interest
"What you looking at?" Amity said
"Nothing" I mumbled continuing to stare at the paper, the drawings looked like those glyph things I've read about in wild magic books...
"Do you wanna see or?" The human smiled at me
"No. Wild magics bad..."
"Aww c'mon!" I hesitated but ultimately I stuck with my answer. Wild magic is bad... I can't give into it
"Cheep" I looked over to see rascal
"Chirp cheep"
"No, I refuse to partake in wild magic"
"Cheep cheep chirp"
"Well I know you're wild magic but that's different!"
"Hey how come I can talk to you? No one else can talk to their palismen"
"Cheeep-"
"Chirp"
I sighed and looked back over to the human and amity
"You need to try and make a perfect circle purple, yours is too wobbly" I pointed out
"Oh shut it golden guard!" She snapped
"Just giving advice chill"
"How do you know that?" The human asked
"I have eyes idoit" I paused
"I've also read about this stuff and studied it. I wasn't suppose to but I didn't care"
"Why are you talking in like past terms?" She questioned
"I got caught and it didn't go down well..." I grabbed my arm as I felt the memories coming back.
The yelling, screaming, crying and most importantly. The pain. I can still feel it sometimes, it's hurts mentally.
Out of nowhere I heard a snap, I jumped and saw the human and purple standing Infront of me
"You good?" The human asked
"Yea..." I mumbled while just staring blankly at what ever caught my eye
"You kinda spaced out ya know-" purple added
"So?"
"You just seem uncomfortable and scared even" the human placed at hand on my shoulder
"You sure your good"
I was generally shocked at how nice she was being, I'm an enemy right- she shouldn't be this nice to me
"Why are you being so- so nice?" She looked confused
"Im an enemy, you should hate me!"
"I only hate belos, I can't say the same for ami but oh well" she laughed at purple just stared. Creepy.
"Oi kids food!" The owl lady shouted from the kitchen
"Want to take that mask off and eat"
The human asked
"No..." Suddenly it was yanked off my face
"Well you didn't have a choice anyway!"
"Stupid human.."
"I forgot how you looked lol" she laughed
"Lol?"
"The internet" the human just said before putting my mask on a shelf
"C'mon, you've barely ate!"
I sighed and got up, with the help of rascal of course. I managed to limp/hop my way to the kitchen where rat dog, human, purple and owl lady were
"Come sit kid we won't kill ya!" The owl lady laughed a bit at her own, well idk- joke?
"Mhm sure you won't" I sat down and stared at my food
"Cherp!"
"You sure?" I looked at rascal and he nodded
"How come you can talk to yours? Sure they can understand us, but we've never been able to understand them." the owl lady questioned
"I don't really know, I've just been able too"
"Are you a palismen or something"
"What?! Of course not!"
"Jeez it was just a jokey thing, don't need to be so defensive" she chuckled and we just ate in silence, it was very uncomfortable. I felt exposed without my mask, they've seen me before but still...
We all finished our dinner (lunch) and me, human and purple were sent back to the living room
"Back to those glyphs!" The human clasped her hands together and looked over at me
"What?" I asked
"Come join! You know a lot maybe you can help"
"I swore to never study it again, so no"
"B-B-Boringggg!~" I don't know why she purposefully stuttered at the beginning. Why is she so strange yet intriguing? Ever offer of learning wild magic she offers I want to give in to, but I can't. Uncle won't like that, I never want to make him mad like that again
"You good hunter?"
I hate how she calls me by my name
"I'm fine." I spat
"Okay..." She took a deep breath and went over to purple.
I sat down on the couch and watched as they tried glyph combos and as the human attempted to teach purple how to properly draw one
Why is wild magic so cool and intriguing? I shouldn't be interested in it, it's wrong! It's like the interest has been built into me
Hehe, only took a month to write this chapter! But if course you'll get this in a day because pre-writing!
