3. Moving In

Jey has been going to court for about a month now. Since he's been busy and stressed with that, I've had Josiah over at my place.

I've been cleaning and selling stuff mostly, but Josiah has been so obsessed with his new toys, that I've gotten a lot more done than I expected. I smile, as I stretch on the couch and accidentally nudge him with my foot.

Josiah snuck out of my room to sleep on the couch with me last night. I didn't have the heart to wake him, so I just let him sleep.

Josiah groans and turns over in his sleep, hugging his toy. I quietly get up and start some breakfast.

I went to the store last night to buy some things for us to eat after coming back from the park with Josiah. I made sure to wear him out, so he'll sleep better. He's been having nightmares and i feel so sad with what my sweet boy is going through.

I grab some chocolate chips and pancake mix, while I think of what else I have to do today. Naomi and Sasha are coming to help me clean up the house. I sold a lot over the past month, so I don't have that much to do.

After breakfast, I'll head to The Fresh Market to grab a few things for packing and we'll pack for the rest of the day. The boys will move things tomorrow through the rest of the week.

I'm so grateful for Jimmy, Solo, and Roman offering to help me. Jey won't be able to help, which I understand. But, I miss him and I know Josiah misses his dad.

I place some bacon in the oven, before mixing the pancake mix and hum to myself. I find peace and tranquility when I'm cooking or baking. I just love to do it, especially when I know a bunch of people will eat it.

As I cook breakfast, I hear my phone ring from the living room. I quickly turn off the stove and run to grab my phone and see that Jey is calling.

I smile and pick up. "Good morning, Handsome."

I smile, as I walk back to the kitchen.

"Good morning to you, Babe. Whatchu doing?" He asks.

"Cooking breakfast for me and our son. You?"

"On my way over for my daily dose of Niyah. I missed you." Jey says and I bite my lip.

"Do you want me to cook for you?" I ask.

"Nah, I'm good. I ate already."

"Mhm. What did you eat?" I ask him.

Jey sighs. "Bacon,fruit and eggs."

"Ok, I guess that's ok."

"It wasn't as good as your cooking, though." Jey says and I hear him close his front door.

"I bet. Hurry and get here, I need my daily dose of Joshua."

"I got that for you, baby. I'll see you in a few." Jey says.

"Ok. Drive safely. Byeee." I smile and hang up the phone.

I look over towards the couch and Josiah is knocked out. We must've did too much yesterday.

I continue cooking and feel a new sense of energy flow through me.

My Man is coming over!

Josiah woke up a few minutes after I got off the phone with Jey. We eat a delicious breakfast and I tell him his dad is coming over.

Like I expected, my sweet boy is so excited to see his dad. I clean the dishes and hear my front door open and close. I quickly dry my hands and run to the hall. Jey turns and smiles at me.
