18. Last Minute Shopping

It's Thursday afternoon, the 17th of August. I just picked up Josiah from school and I have to do some last minute shopping for my trip to see Jey.

So, I drop him off at Naomi's and the both of us head to a Savage Fenty pop up store near by.

"It's so crazy how Rihanna has a pop up store when you're about to leave." Naomi says.

I smile. "It's definitely convenient. I refuse to shop at Victoria's Secret anymore."

"Yeah, their bras always cut into my skin." Naomi sighs.

"So...Any expectations for the coming week?" Naomi asks.

I look at her, as we stop at a red light.

"Mmh, good food and romantic nights?"

Naomi purses her lips and nods. "Well, that's to be expected. But..You know what? Nevermind." She says and I suck my teeth in frustration.

"No, spit it out!"

"Nah, it's nothing. Honestly, just..I'm excited for you. I know how much you miss Jey." Naomi smiles and I sigh.

"I'm excited, too. I can't wait to hug him..Kiss him and do some things.." I smirk.

Naomi shakes her head. "Yeah, it's definitely gonna be a good trip for you."

I pay no mind to Naomi's words, but later on I realize that she was hinting at something..

Like I expected, there's a lot of people at the shop.

"Let's hope there's still some good stuff." Naomi says.

We make our way around the store. For a pop up store that's only in town for a week, it's beautifully decorated. There's pictures of Rihanna everywhere and the decorations scream her influence.

"She should really open actual stores. She'd get so much business." I mumble to myself.

Naomi agrees, as she rummages through the lingerie.

"So what exactly are you looking for?" She asks.

"Mmh...Something that screams...present." I smile.

Naomi nods. "I'll look around."

We separate and I spy some thigh high stockings. There's pink, white, black, and nude stockings. I decide to skip those for now and focus on finding the perfect set.

I find a sexy lavender piece, that's my exact size. I grab it and drape the see through material over my arm.

Fifteen minutes later, Naomi finds me.

"I found the Perfect set." She holds up a pinkish bra and panties set, with red bows.

I make a face, as I look at it and shake my head head.

"Eh, it's cute. But, it's not me." I sigh.

"I guess I'll keep looking." Naomi says and I nod.

                          An Hour Later

We leave the Fenty store and I'm happily satisfied. I found three lingerie sets that I loved and I decided to go ahead and buy the pink set that Naomi found.

It gave me Christmas vibes, so I'll save it for then. We drive down the highway, as the radio plays in the background.

"Do you have all your packing done?" Naomi asks.

"Almost. I'll finish tonight or tomorrow. I'm still debating on some things."

"Cool. When are you leaving?"

"Saturday night at around 7:30."

My plane leaves Saturday night from Miami airport. Thankfully, it won't be a long flight. Just about two hours.

I start to feel giddy all of a sudden. It won't be long, before I see my boo. Goosebumps appear on my body, as excited tingles make me shiver.

"Thanks for watching Josiah for me. Jey and I will have to pay you back."

"Don't worry about it." Naomi smiles.

"I just feel guilty..like I dump him on you too much."

Naomi just shakes her head. "Like I said, you're fine. Besides, we're family. I don't mind looking out for you or Josiah." She smiles at me and I nod.

"Ok."

It's 12:50 am and I finally finish packing! I let myself fall into bed, as I sigh with relief. I was surprisingly able to fit all my clothes, underwear, and shoes into one suitcase.

Not that I usually pack a bunch of stuff, my suitcase is just a smaller one since I don't want to tug around a big and heavy suitcase. I'm not staying that long anyways, but Naomi encouraged me to stay with Jey for a little longer.

So, we'll be together for a week. I lay in bed and stare up at the ceiling. Saturday can't come fast enough! I want to be in Jey's arms, now!

I'll be able to go to SmackDown with him on Friday and I'm looking forward to that. More than anything, I'm looking forward to sleeping in the same bed with him and cuddling all night.

Though it hasn't been long since he left and I have Josiah with me; I still feel so lonely without Jey. So, after turning off the bedside lamp and getting comfortable, I imagine Jey's handsome face and fall asleep.

A/N: another short filler chapter ( Just the second one). Only fifteen more chapters after this one and I'll be be finished with this book! The first fully finished book since I started writing in 2016.

That's crazy.

I regret deleting my older works. I have a few on here that aren't that good, since they are the first books I've written. But, I'm proud of myself anyways.
