I woke up bright and fucking early in a shitty mood. Well shitty for me is like feeling nothing because... well we don't have to get into that right now. Anyways, I got up and did my little thing then got dressed. Almost as soon as I'd finished I heard a knock on the door. I was putting my shoes on so I just opened it with my powers.
"Off to a great start I see" she says as she watches me scramble. I groan in response and stand up as my boots are secured. "Let's get this over with" I mumble, she just smiles and leads me through the corridors. Eventually we arrive at what feels to be a neutral space. Reading energy has always been easy for me and whereas the previous space felt very much like Cordelia this one feels like... nothing.
She leads me into an empty room with only two chairs. Only a single one-way window decorating the walls. It feels like an interrogation room, she doesn't even have any papers. "So we'll start off with a few basic ones and move up from there. Whenever you wish to stop, or when it feels too much, let me know" she instructs and I nod.
"I'll need verbal confirmation, Alicia" she voices sternly, "yes ma'am" I joke tiredly. "Alright you said you can perform pyrokinesis, telekinesis, and resurrection so let's do that first" she states. I form fire in my hand and put it out then I levitate her and put her back in the chair. She makes a dead bunny appear which makes me kinda sad.
I quickly bring it back and it starts hopping around the room. "Ok and now we'll move on to a few more slightly advanced ones. Let's start with transmutation" she decides, clasping her hands in her lap and looking at me. "Well I'm not a circus animal" I know and she sighs playfully, "just go across the room" she states.
"You mean like teleportation right" I say questioningly, "you could call it that" she replies. "You might wanna uh... brace yourself" I chuckle, "for wh-" I do as she said and end up behind her. I tap her shoulder and as she turns around I go back to the seat. She stares at me confused and slightly bewildered with her eyes squinted.
She quickly collects herself and shakes her head. "Chlorokinesis" she states making a plant appear and handing it to me. "You want me to like make it grow?" I ask and she nods so I do that and then set it down. "The power of telepathy" at this point it sounds like she challenging me.
What the fuck is going on?
"What the fuck is going on" I repeat to her and she sighs almost like she wanted me to fail? I don't think that's true, no I know it's not true. She just seems stumped and I get the impression that's not a normal thing for her. "Are you clairvoyant?" She asks, "I think so" I reply unsurely but I know I am.
"Where is Hela?" She asks, who the fuck is hela? "Umm description" I ask closing my eyes. "Long black hair, green and black suit, confident stride, loud as he-" "her office on the third floor, she's grading papers. Quite begrudgingly if you ask me" I say, "you can see her too?" She asks, "yeah..." I say confused.
She mutters to herself before shaking her head once again. "Well I don't think I have anything else for you at the moment. I'm going to have you take another, more advanced, test in a few days if you're up for it. I want you to recover first so you're at full strength, but I think I'll place you in advanced classes" she determines.
"Oh... alright. I mean I could do it today if you have time, just to get it over with. This isn't really hard, no offense" I utter. "Go- ok. Any other skills I should know about? Off the top of your head" she asks hesitantly. "Umm I don't know the names of them, sorry" I grimace and she waves her hand dismissively.
"Do you think you could show them to me, I have time" she suggests, "uh sure ok. Some I should do outside" I state. "Outside? Why?" She asks, "it requires the natural elements" I explain. She looks completely lost but agrees and we teleport outside. I immediately get started and my focus points to a tree.
I gather the surrounding wind, using the breeze as a conduit and blow the tree just enough so it moves. I don't wanna knock it down, just show her I can do it. Afterwards I sit on the ground and she looks down in amazement. "This one I'm not too good at yet..." I mutter. I close my eyes and take deep breaths, my fingers feeling the grass.
I open my eyes and look at Cordelia and her mouth is open. "I guess I did it then" I chuckle, allowing the energy to flow out of my body. "I also have what's called cyrokinesis I think but I can't really you show you much of that. Well, except for this" I say forming frost in my hand.
"Anything... else?" She asks almost nervously and I think about it for a second. "Well there is the advanced test so it can wait but uhh there is something I need to tell you. Actually show you rather" now I'm the one who's nervous. "Go ahead, don't be scared" she encourages, I pull off my jacket and my wings spring out.
I wince as they're quite sore from being tucked in there for so long. She looks surprised but not afraid more like understanding. I myself turn to glance at them as I haven't seen them in so long. They are shades of blue, darker towards the tips where they come to a sharp point. A bitch to tuck those let me tell ya.
They're a bit sparkly which I don't remember, but overall they look the same as when I last saw them. With the exception of some spots that have formed, identical on both sides. "When did you develop them?" She asks, "a few months ago right before I found out about this place" I answer. She showed me how to retract them and also 'summon' them.
I thanked her endlessly because they were hurting me like a bitch. She simply smiles and shows me back to my room saying I can roam if I want. "I have some work to do, but I'll see you around noon" she adds, "okie dokie" I say and she giggles. Leaving my room shaking her head and I lay back down hoping to resume my slumber.
The test itself didn't tire me out. I'm just, well, lazy for a lack of better words. I like my UN-interrupted sleep so I decide to doze off for a bit.
