Alicia's pov Today is apparently the day of the ball and I'm freaking the fuck out. I've been trying to figure out what I'm going to wear ever since Delia told me about it. I want to look good, for myself but also for her. I don't want to make a fool of myself, well more than I already will. I have a few hours to prepare so I take a shower to start off.
I do a bit of light makeup and put my hair in a nice up-do. I check it in the mirror and touch up whatever needs it. I grab the dress and slip it on my frame. Honestly, I feel pretty confident in this. I'm sure it's not as fancy as the others but I feel good and that's what matters. I grab some perfume to spritz on, slip on my shoes, and then accessorize.

I go out and towards the grand hall where the ball is to be held. I'm a bit late considering I spent so much time going over my outfit. No matter, it's not like it's going to end in half an hour. This is a big event, based on what I've gathered from the gossiping girls. I enter the room and am met with lovely music enveloping me.
The vibrations calm me as I venture further into the room. Sounds of laughter reach my ears over the music, which isn't too loud. It's warm in here since pretty much all the students are present. The light scent of alcohol fills my nostrils making me smile softly. This feels like a core piece of nostalgia I've never experienced.
I look around the room in search of the only person I'm ever looking for. I have yet to find my reason for even being here. In all honesty, I only came here for her, I'm not much of a party person. I suppose it will be good for me in terms of exposure. Also since the next weeks won't be the most pleasant. Finally my eyes land on her in the corner with the others.
