They spent the remainder of the day in bed. Well, not just in bed—after their first time, they took a shower together, but neither of them could keep their hands to themselves for long, yearning to explore the others’ body until they knew every inch of skin, every scar and imperfection, each place that sent shivers of desire through their bodies.

After that, it was back to the bed.  It was only when Weiying’s stomach rumbled quite loudly after they had exhausted themselves a third time that Lanzhan pressed a kiss to his forehead and announced that he would go make dinner.

He got out of bed and pulled on a pair of sweats, leaving his chest bare. Weiying promised to meet him downstairs, and after he left he managed to drag himself out of bed and found a lanzhan white shirt, he wore only his appearance in the floor-length mirror in the corner of the room and decided that He looked hot.

His feet bare, Weiying padded downstairs. He could hear Lanzhan moving around in what He assumed was the kitchen, and He let His ears guide His through the large house. Aside from the living room and parlor, there was also a large dining room and a sun room, along with the kitchen and a full-sized pantry.

He found Lanzhan at the counter with his cutting board in front of him. He was carefully slicing bell peppers, but He could smell chicken cooking, and spotted the skillet on the stove. He had tasted his cooking many times, and could grudgingly admit he was just as talented in the kitchen as He was.

Weiying sidled up behind him and slid His arms around his lean waist, pressing His hands flat against his toned stomach as He pressed a kiss between his shoulder blades.

“Smells good,” He murmured. “What are you making?”

“Seared chicken and chickpea salad,” he answered, turning his head slightly to look at him.

“Anything I can help with?” Weiying asked as He ran his fingers up his happy trail.

“I’ve got it,” he said, his voice taking on a husky cadence. “I think there's a bottle of wine in the fridge, if you want.”

Weiying stepped away from him and crossed to the fridge, bending over to pull the wine off of the bottom shelf. “Would you like a beer?”

“No, I’m in the mood for wine—”

Lanzhan cut off suddenly, and Weiying glanced back to see that he had halted his movements, his eyes taking in.

“You...are such a tease,” Lanzhan finally managed to say. “That is...a very nice outfit, Weiying.”

Weiying grabbed the wine out of the fridge and straightened up before He threw a cheeky grin at him. “Why, thank you. I was hoping you’d like it.”

“Mm, very much so. You better sit that pretty ass down, or we’re not going to make it to dinner.” He smirked crookedly at His before he went back to cutting the peppers. “I’d really hate to burn the chicken. I’ve had it marinating all day.”

“Fine, fine, but first, wine glasses…”

Weiying searched through the cupboards, making a point to bend over exactly where Lanzhan could see Him. He couldn’t resist it. After weeks of tension brewing between them, they had finally succumbed to it, and now it was like Weiying was addicted to it. And, given the lingering looks Lanzhan was giving him, He surmised that he felt the same.
