They were woken up by an excited knocking at the door. Lanzhan lifted his head from his pillow, momentarily forgetting where he was and feeling disoriented by the unfamiliar space. But then he saw the familiar mane of Weiying’s hair fluffed out around His head and immediately felt more calm.

Lanzhan reached over and shook His shoulder. “Hey, someone’s at the door.”

Weiying startled awake, pushing Himself up onto His elbows as He blinked the sleep from His eyes. He looked impossibly cute with His bright eyes and tangled hair.

“What’s going on?” He mumbled, still very much half-asleep.

In answer to his question, the knocking sounded again. Weiying threw back the duvet and got out of bed, grabbing his robe from where He’d left it draped it over the footboard before he pulled it around His shoulders. Lanzhan sat upright and rubbed the sleep from his eyes before he flattened down his hair. When he glanced at the clock on the bedside table, he saw that it was almost seven in the morning.

Weiying opened the door and found his mother standing on the other side.

“Mom?” Weiying asked around a yawn. “What’s up? You realize it’s barely morning, right?”

Madam Yu looked apologetic. “I know, I know, I’m sorry to wake you both up so early, especially after your flight yesterday. But there's lots of things to do this week, and Granny made breakfast, and we’ve got to pick Alpha up at the airport before we head to your aunt's place to get you fitted for your tux.”

Weiying let out another groan, and Madam Yu offered him a sympathetic smile before she reached over and patted His cheek.

“I know it’s been a lot to get this all planned in a month,” Madam Yu told Him kindly. “But it will all be worth it on Saturday when the two of you say ‘I do’.” she gave Him a pointed look. “And you had it easy. Me, Gran, and Madam Lan have put most of this together, with some help of course. All you had to do was say yes or no.”

Weiying scowled at His mother, and behind him , Lanzhan let out a chuckle. Madam Yu leaned around the doorway and gave Lanzhan a pointed look.

“And you barely had to do that,” Madam Yu said to him, which promptly shut him up. “I think the Alpha have plans for you today since I’ll have your bride-to-be preoccupied with the dress.”

Lanzhan grimaced but chose not to say anything to that.

Weiying let out a sigh. “Okay. Give us twenty minutes to get dressed and we’ll meet you downstairs for breakfast.”

“Okay, baby.”

Madam Yu left then, and Weiying shut the door before He turned back to look at Lanzhan, letting out a breath that blew His bangs off of His forehead. He was still sitting on the bed, his chin propped on his fist, and looking way better than he had any right to with his sleep-tousled hair.

“So the fun begins,” he drawled as he stood up.

He stretched languidly, and his shirt rode up to reveal a strip of toned, pale abdomen and a thin trail of hair that disappeared beneath the waistband of his sweats. Weiying swallowed hard and dragged His eyes back up to his face.

“If you can call it that,” He muttered before He made His way to His suitcase. “I’m gonna get dressed in the bathroom. You can get changed out here or you can wait or...whatever.”

He blinked. “Oh, um, right. I’ll uh, just get dressed out here. You know, save time so your family doesn’t come bugging us again.”

“Yeah, that’s probably a good idea.”
