Hanni's POV
Ok that was awkward. I was about to cry in front of her. I just pretended that I don't want her to be here but she don't know how much I miss her. Still, I won't let my guard down.
I glanced at my phone and realized that I only had an hour left to prepare. Panic set in as I realized that she was still in my room, and my closet was right there. How was I supposed to get my clothes? aishh I scolded myself for rushing and not being more prepared. I took a deep breath, resigned to the fact that I was going to be late. I'm late, it is what it is.
I peeked at the door, and there she is standing on my balcony lost in thought. I made a mental note to talk to her later after work because I deserved an explanation.
I entered the room without looking at her, pretending that she wasn't there. But she spoke, and I couldn't resist the temptation to respond.
"Your place is relaxing" she said, and I couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness at her compliment.
Still, I remained quiet, testing to see if she would stop talking to me if I didn't speak.
"Where are you going?" I knew she was trying to engage me in conversation, but I pretended to be busy choosing a dress, even though I had already picked one out.
"Can I talk to you?" she asked, moving closer to me. I felt an electric shock run through my body as she touched my shoulder.
"I know you're still mad at me" she said with a sad voice, and I could feel thorns piercing my heart.
"Please let me explain. Give me one more chance...
I'll do anything for you, My Hanni" she pleaded, and my heart threatened to burst out of my chest. But I still couldn't bring myself to look at her.
" I'll talk to you when you're ready" she said, turning to leave my room.
But before she could step out, I pulled her hand, and she turned to face me. I looked deeply into her eyes and said
" Let's meet again, later"
.
."WHATTT??? MINJI IS HER---" Danielle shrieked, her voice echoing loudly. I quickly covered her mouth.
"Lower your voice. We're working here, we might disturb others" I whispered, trying to calm her down.
"Is this for real? You saw her?" Danielle's eyes widened as she looked at me in disbelief. her tone laced with excitement.
I nodded slowly, my heart racing at the memory of last night.
"Yeah, we slept together last night" feeling my cheeks turn red at what I said. Danielle might misinterpret my words. We slept beside each other nothing more nothing less
"Whoa, I can't believe it" Danielle exclaimed, looking at me with wide eyes.
"Are you mad at her?" she asked, her curiosity piqued. The question left me hanging, as I wasn't sure how I felt about Minji's sudden return.
"I don't know, maybe a little? and I ignored her" I replied not sure about that.
"PHAM HANNI" Danielle scolded, her voice stern.
"Did you let her explain?"
"Not yet" I admitted, feeling guilty about earlier.
"Trust me, she has a valid reason" Danielle assured me, her voice filled with conviction.
"How did you know?" I asked, curious about her sudden change of heart.
"Instinct" Danielle replied simply, her eyes holding mine.
"Listen to your heart, Hanni. You know what's right." I nodded slowly, taking in her words.
"I'll talk to her later" I promised to give Minji a chance to explain herself.
"As you should, gurl" Danielle nodded in approval, before turning back to our work.
As we continued to work, I could feel someone's eyes on me. I knew it was him, Jay. He was scary, to say the least, and I couldn't help but wonder what he wanted from me or I'm just assuming things.

From: Unknown number
Should I put him in my phone book? It bothers me to see an "unknown number". I typed 'Jay'
From: Jay
: U ok? You seems thinking deep
Yeah, I'm fine
: I'll treat you dinner later
I can't, sorry. I have plans later
: Ok, maybe next time?
I'm not sure✌️
A man approached him, his father which is the CEO of this company. That's good cause he creeps me out when I see him. Despite Jay's intimidating presence, I couldn't help but notice how handsome he is. No no. I'm just describing him. Lol nvm. He's friendly in chat. However, when you see him in person, he looks so serious that it can be a bit nerve-wracking.
As I tried to shake off the awkwardness of the situation, my mind was suddenly filled with thoughts of her. Her face flashed before my eyes, and I couldn't help but smile. I knew that in just a few short hours, I would get to see her again.
.
From: Unknown number
: What time are you free?
Who are you?
: Minji
You changed your number?
How did you get my number? Nvm: Yes, long time ago. I'm sorry
It's okay. I'll be out at 8 pm
Can we just talk in my house
: okay, no prob. See you later 😉Where did they all get my number 😭 but it's okay because it's her.

Finally, it's 8 o'clock in the evening, and I rushed home to prepare. I took a quick shower, wanting to smell fresh and clean. As I got dressed, I couldn't help but feel nervous. Why do you prepare so much, Hanni? I scolded myself. To look presentable, yeah yeah, to look presentable.
The doorbell rang, and I composed myself before opening the door. There she is, the most attractive woman I had ever met, holding a bouquet of roses.
"Roses for you, young lady" she said, bowing slightly as she handed me the flowers. I couldn't help but think she's cute in this moment.
There was a note attached to the bouquet, and as I read it, my heart swelled with emotion.
'28 fresh roses, specially for you. Stands for 28 months that I'm not by your side'
I was left speechless by her sweet gesture. She was bringing back her act of pursuing me, and I couldn't help but to feel the same way that I felt before.
