Hanni's POV

"Excellent job, Miss Pham" I can hear their cheers and loud applauses after I finished my presentation for the big event next week.

I slightly tapped my head and whispered "you're doing great". I'm slowly regaining myself, I just need to be optimistic.

" Congratulations Unnie for being promoted" Dani hugged me and tapped my back

" Thank you Dani, let's go out. Call Haerin"

"okayyy, I'm on it. This time my treat cause I want to congratulate you"

" Where is she?" I asked while looking at my watch.

" she's on her way, Unnie"

The door swung open revealing Haerin, she looks nervous and we don't have any clue why.

" Sit here Haerin" Danielle offered the seat because she's breathing heavily.

" What happened to you? we can wait, you don't have to hurry" I handed her a glass of water.

" Nothing, I'm just stressed on my first day of work, Let's eat I'm hungry"

" You'll get used to it, it's always hard in the beginning. Fighting, our Haerin" I cheered her up and showed my smile.

Haerin's POV

Danielle called me to have a lunch together with Hanni. Minji called me too earlier that she's in Seoul.

And here's the thing, There's a chance that she'll be able to meet Hanni Unnie, as in a big chance. They are both in Fashion industry and idk if I should tell Hanni or not. She obviously don't know that Minji is a model now. aHhh I don't know what to do, the event is next week. What if she finds out that I have communication with Minji Unnie. But But I'm just following Minji's instruction. I owe her a lot and helping her is the least I can do. Knowing her parents' behavior gives me headache but nvm, I'll just go with the flow.

I rushed to where Hanni and Danielle is. they're probably waiting for me for about 20 minutes now. I took the car keys and drove away.

Hanni's POV

"Mommm!!" I ran to her and hugged them. What's happening why are they suddenly visiting me

" How are things going? How's work?"

" I'm now the Head Designer" I proudly shared my experiences in the company. I am now an independent woman and I have grown accustomed to being alone, just like before because my parents was busy with our business.

" Do you know Jay?"

hmmm Jay? I'm only familiar with one Jay, my classmate before. He's the son of one of the most influential businessman.

" Park Jay?"

" Yeah yeah, we're close to his parents and also to Jay. He's a kind man."

"and?" They looked at each other and back their gazes on me

" Can you consider him?" My dad said.

" Yeah, we can be friends. no problem" I smiled and looked down. I know their plan, they want me to move on. They probably noticed that I changed a lot. or are they doing this for business purposes, I hope not. I know they love their only daughter.

" don't tell me--" I interrupted my mom, I know where's this going.

" I'm still not ready"

" I know it's tough, but you need progress. It hurts me seeing that you're stuck in your past"

" Mom, I'm okay. Look, I'm happy, I enjoy my work, I have friends. I don't need anyone"

It's all a lie, If there's one person I need right now.

" Thank you for visiting me, you don't need to worry. Just support me in my career and give me fair amount of your time. It's hard to admit but I'm also longing for your presence. When I'm hurt, when I'm sad, when I thought that my world is about to fall apart"

Tears are visible to my mom's eyes. They've been a good parents to me. It's just, it seems not enough. I know no one is perfect but they're not present when I needed them the most.

" I'm so sorry Hanni, I'm just thinking a way on how to help you. If I only I have idea on where she is I'll do my best to bring her back to you

But we can't do anything either, you probably don't know but I witnessed how much you smiled, how you laugh when you were with her. I know it all cause I'm your mom"

I shred in tears, I don't know that she observes me before. I thought she only cares about my brother and running the business. I always felt so alone but i didn't realize that there are still people who silently look after me. I got blinded by too much sadness and anger.
